Sometimes there is a cap, collar or other piece holding the two sides together that must be removed before you can seperate the halves.

How do I replace a fuel primer build on the Stihl BR600 blower/

Disconnect the spark plug wire from the spark plug and ensure it can't come in contact with the spark plug. Removal of the spark plug wire removes any possibility that power can be supplied to the engine of the blower during the repair.

Remove the screws that hold the air filter cover in place. Remove the air filter cover and air filter. Remove the air filter housing from the side of the machine. Removal of these components allows you access to the primer bulb, fuel line and carburetor.

Oil leak on poulan snow lower

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you
  • Remove the hex bolts holding the plastic leaf blower housing in place with your hex wrench. You may wish to cut the cord with your scissors and loosen the bolt or screw securing the rope assembly with your hex wrench or screwdriver.
  • 2 Remove the spring assembly carefully. Do not remove the spring, only remove the assembly.
  • 3 Remove the old cord from the leaf blower pull cord assembly by gently pulling it away from the assembly with your hands. Notice the direction the pull cord is wound, as this becomes important in the next step.
  • 4 Wind the new pull cord in the same direction you removed it in Step 3. Make sure the inner end of the pull cord secures in the faster or slot provided on the pull cord assembly. This varies depending on the leaf blower manufacturer.
  • 5 Replace the pull cord pulley and place over the spring. This is the white plastic spool.
  • 6 Rotate the pull cord assembly two or three times in the same direction the cord pulls wearing safety goggles and work gloves. Reinsert the center screw by screwing it in place with your screwdriver; this holds the pulley assembly together
  • 7 Insert the leaf blowers cord end into the end of the handle opening. Secure the handle by tying a knot at the bottom of the new pull cord; this prevents the handle from being pulled off the pull cord while you start the leaf blower.
  • 8 Place the pull cord assembly back onto your leaf blower in its designated area and secure by refastening the four hex nuts with your hex wrench.
  • 9 Replace the housing cover of the leaf blower and refasten the hex nuts with your hex wrench. You removed the housing cover in Step 1.

Broken pull cord mac320v leaf blower

The pull string is in a housing underneath the fan. Remove the left (as you're holding the blower with the outlet facing away) housing. The blower fan is visible. Use a 1/2" light duty impact driver, it's a conventional clocking leftie loosie rightie tightie. Remove nut, thick flat washer, fan, and another thick flat washer. Three screws are holding the pull string housing. Remove the housing. Three more screws and thin flat washers, and the spool is in your hand. Reassemble in reverse order.

Replacing pull string on Poulan BVM200VS leaf blower

You will need to split the housing and remove the impeller wheel. In doing this you will have to disconnect the throttle cable and the switch assy. This can be a hand full if you have never done one.

In the future when you are purchasing a string trimmer or blower

or hedge trimmer, be sure that the starter can be removed by

removing 4 screws. This makes starter repair a 5 minute $10 job

instead of an hour $40 or more job. The problem is that you will

not find this in most home centers or box stores. You will have to

go to a full service dealer.
