try changing the needle--one for the fabric being used--and inserted correctly into the needle holder.. some needles are flat and some are around

rethread the machine top and bobbin with new thread

check your thread path for burrs

Please go to PDF page 9 and look at the location for item 12. Check to see if your feed dogs have been lowered.

try adjusting the top tension

Machine threaded incorrectly. Insufficient tension on upper thread. Bobbin case spring broken. Lint clogging thread path. Bobbin wound incorrectly.

3Find the position of the knots.

4Tighten the tension and "pull the knots up" if the knots appear on the bottom side of the sewn seam.

5Loosen the tension and "drop the knots down" if the knots are on the top surface.

6Sew a test on the fabric you will be using. Tensions often have to be adjusted when changing fabric types and weights.

7Continue adjusting the tension and inspecting the seam until your seam is balanced.

the knots on the bottom are caused by the top thread not being in the tension disc or something in the discs( thread , fuss etc)
