I actually have three of these and what I found was the gas valve was stuck in the open position you may need to replace it or possibly remove it and try to clean it of any residue but be very careful if you don't know exactly what your doing then you need to get a pro. Remember that your dealing with propane and it could ignite and cause serious damage to you and your home. Please be very careful and you might want to call the manufacturer and talk to them about it. Because it is a gas appliance they have a responsibility to you if anything should happen then they may be liable.

My kozy world gsn 3011 keeps going out , blows out pilot light

It sounds like there may be an issue with your Kozy World GSN 3011 gas heater. A common cause of the pilot light going out is a problem with the thermocouple, a safety device that senses when the pilot light is lit and sends a signal to the gas valve to allow gas to flow to the main burner. Another possible cause could be a blockage in the gas line or a malfunctioning gas valve.
It is important to have a qualified technician check and repair your heater to ensure safe operation. Attempting to repair a gas heater without proper knowledge and training can be dangerous and may result in injury or damage to the unit.

My Kozy World nat gas wall heater has worked beautifully for the past three winters. I cleaned it this morning with canned air, got all the dust off the ceramic plates, blew out the burner inlets, blew out...

Does the pilot light stay lit if you continually depress the control valve?
If the pilot light stays lit as long as you keep the valve depressed, then the problem is the thermocouple is bad. The pilot light makes enough electricity via the thermocouple to hold open the gas valve that feeds the burners. If the thermocouple fails to produce that electricity, the gas valve will shut down and switch off the gas flow to the whole unit.

Pilot goes out when I try to turn the knob up

If the pilot stays on when you are holding it down (you are manually opening the gas valve) but won't stay lit when you let the knob go, then the thermocouple is bad. The pilot knob needs to be held down for 30 secs or so. The pilot flame has to heat the tip of the thermocouple long enough to for it to output a small electric signal (that holds the gas valve open). If you look at the pilot flame, you will see the tip of the thermocouple in the flame. That copper tube runs from the flame to the gas valve and is easy enough to replace. They sell them at most hardware stores. If you see a lot of ash buildup on the tip, you can turn the pilot off and clean the tip and try again.

Kozy world propane wall heater pilot will not light

This can be caused by several things:

1. The inline gas valve running to the the heater is OFF. Turn the valve ON.

2. The gas control knob on the heater is not exactly in the PILOT position. Unless the knob bottoms
out and you feel strong pressure (other than spring pressure) pushing back at you. It's not exactly
in the PILOT Position. Once the pilot lights, hold the control knob in for 30 seconds to 60 seconds
to allow the Thermocouple to full heat.

3. The pilot is dirty and needs to be cleaned, as do the burners.*

4. The LP Gas Tank is empty or to low to maintain te proper gas pressure.

* Here is a link to a demonstration on how to properly clean the pilot & burners.

I just bought a brand new Kozy World blue flame heater and the pilot light will not stay lit and when it is lit, it goes out as soon as I turn up the nob.

The thermocouple is bad or not aligned properly. It is the metal bar in front of the pilot light. This bar senses the heat put off by the pilot light. If it does not get hot it will not allow the gas to flow. You either need to align it so that it is in front of the pilot light and receives enough heat to allow the gas valve to operate or possibly the thermocouple has gone bad and needs replacing.

It could also be that you are not waiting long enough. The thermocouple must sense the heat for at least one minute or more before it will let the gas valve turn on. Turn everything to off for at least five minutes. Re-light the pilot light and let it burn for at least one minute and then try turning the knob to on.
