I was charging my mp3 for 2 hours but when I when I took it out of my windows 7 laptop USB port it turned off I tried turning it on but that did not work.

Sounds like the battery itself may be bad. What type of battery does it contain. NiCad, LiOn
A replacement battery may be available.

Ok, SOME MP3/4 Players indeed charge from the USB port, albeit slowly... usually tho there comes a charger that plugs into the "Mains" and then plugs into the USB socket on the Player.. Sometimes if the Battery goes really "Flat" the USB port is unable to supplu enough "Current" sucessfully charge it up. (Hence the need for wall charger) IF it was entirely Via USB it would take many hours, I would at least think overnite. Hope that hepls.

must be hidden with a small button-like flap which can be pulled out using your finger tips...should also have a usb symbol on top so that it is obvious to all.....if you can still not find it....try moving your finger gently along the periphery of the player...any breaks or changes in level should show you your destination...
