If your Sharp LC-45D4CU television is not producing sound when you connect an external speaker or sound bar to the audio out jack, there are a few potential causes and steps you can try to fix the issue:
Check the audio out jack: Make sure the audio out jack is clean and not damaged, and that the connection to the external speaker or sound bar is secure.
Check the audio settings: Make sure the TV's audio settings are set to output sound through the audio out jack. You can check the settings in the TV's menu or user manual.
Check the external speaker or sound bar: Make sure the external speaker or sound bar is turned on and set to the correct input. Also, check the speaker or sound bar's connections and make sure they are secure.
Check the cables: Make sure the cables connecting the TV to the external speaker or sound bar are not damaged and are securely connected.
If these steps do not fix the issue, there may be a problem with the TV's audio out jack or the external speaker or sound bar. In this case, it is recommended to contact Sharp customer support or a TV repair technician for further assistance.

The first thing I would do if there is any other way to check audio like head phones or aux out to stereo try, this may tell if you have a bad audio chord, not sure exactly how your set up is but a bad chord our improper jack connection might be the answear, good luck ! Bret
so it is a connections problem I think. Check if video and audio cables are properly connected. Use color codes as your guide. Also from menu check if all settings are ok. Good luck
you will have to connect an audio output from the tv to the sourround reciver. you should have some audio output on the back of the tv and a corresponding input on the samsung ht c555
Try stripping the speaker wires and exposing it about 1 inch. Then connect the speaker wires in a way that the part that grips or holds the wires touches the metal part and not the insulation. If there's still no sound, Please check the external speakers to see if it's working by using them in another device like a home system or audio player or maybe another tv that has an external speaker port. If not, mostly likely the switches are defective and needs replacement by a qualified technician.
Microphones are input devices; they don't double as speakers. If you mean that a stand-alone set of speakers do not work, but the internal speakers of the tv do let you hear the audio track from the camera. Then I have a couple of different suggestions: 1) make sure the stand-alone speakers work with other input sources, 2) try a different cable (make sure it is connected properly).
Also how are you connecting to the different devices? The video camera has an HDMI port which will send audio and video to the TV on one cable. If you are using the RCA audio in both cases, then I suspect a problem with the external speakers.
If you mean that the audio track is clear on play-back when you use the built-in microphone during the recording and not heard if the external microphone, check the external mic for problems. Try it on another recording device. I can't rule out a jack failure without more information.
