Have a GE Microwave Model JVM131H 001. I removed the door cover to repair the handle but now the oven won't start. The light stays on all the time, time clock can be set, it makes all kind of noises but it wont start. Have any idea? Thanks

You can get the manual here.

But usually you just press the clock button to set

SOURCE: GE JVM1650 Microwave Making Loud Noise
hello Frank. Sorry to tell you that the magnetron is going bad and making that terrible noise. Since the inside of a microwave, even unplugged has up to 2000 residual and deadly volts of electricity I recommend either calling a pro or replacing the unit.

Magnetron is done. This part heats the food. GE microwaves tend to have them stop working quite frequently. They basically make up the majority of the cost of the microwave, so instead of replacing the magnetron, you would be better off getting a new microwave.

SOURCE: Problem: How can I replace the door handle on a
ok start over
you need to be looking at the inside of the door
the frame around the glass the choke
will pop off,,
take a small flat head place it between the choke and the frame down by the hinge. pry ever so carefully it will pop out slide the screwdriver around the edge until the whole choke is dislodged
once the choke is off
you will see the two screws for the handle
you may need to lift the latch mechinism to get to the bottom one
once your done you can simply push the choke back it place you will here it snap
be careful the choke is very brittle
and will break if bent
