Bad contacts with the mini USB port. Either the connector needs resoldered or replaced. Please see this link, section on loose/broken USN port:

Magic Jack Plus worked in USB and then Internet on computer stopped working

It's got the wrong gateway setting. Without a gateway (router) to the Internet it can only see local network stuff. I suspect the Magic Jack is still trying to be the gateway but it has no Internet. Stop Magic Jack doing this and it should work.

I can call out on my Majic Jack Plus but cannot receive calls. The majic Jack is registered and set up on my modem.

This could be failure of the power adapter module.
Is your Magicjack plugged into the wall power thru a power adapter? Try bypassing the power adapter and plugging the magicjack directly into a USB port on your computer. If the magicjack work correctly now, then you have a bad power adapter module.
I had a similar problem. My Magicjack was plugged into a wall socket. First the dial tone became inconsistent, then I could no longer receive calls, then it died completely.
I plugged the MJ into a USB socket on my computer, and it then worked normally.
If you have a failing power adatper, it will continue to deteriorate, and it will eventually fail completely. The blue power on the magicjack will not come on when it is plugged into the power adapter, but it will illuminate when plugged into the USB socket on the computer.
Note: the computer must be on to power the magicjack thru the USB port.

Magicjack is aware of the problem and offers a replacement power adapter module. To contact them, go to www.magicjack.com and go to "support". They will ship you a new power module for about $5.50. Some people have reported that the replacement modules from Magicjack are no better than the originals and have had repeat failures.
Consider getting a power module from another source. There are lots of AC to USB power converter modules available on Ebay for only a few dollars. Search Ebay for "magicjack power adapter".

Magic Jack Plus power supply unit dead

The power supply is simply a wall charger with a USB charging port. You should be able to locate one from any mobile phone outlet or a number of web sites.

Garmin reports low battery, turns off in 2 seconds even when connected to car battery

Check to make sure that the rear USB jack isn't loose. This is a common problem on ALL nuvi's that are charged by a USB jack only. If the jack is broken, the battery will not be charged. When you plug in the charger, the battery icon with green bars should go away. If you can still see it, your USB jack is broke and needs to be replaced. I've replaced these many times. My acer laptop power switch lights up but I cant get the screen to come on I have a mouse which i plug into a usb port and it will not light up its like no power is going through it.It was working fine...

Hello.

The most common reasons are the battery, power jack and power adapter/cord.

Power off and remove the battery. If the laptop powers on with just the adapter connected, your battery is faulty.

If you move/wiggle the power adapter at the point where it connects to the laptop, and the power goes off and on, the power jack is the problem.

The power jack is inside the laptop and either needs soldering or replacement. If a power jack problem, it should be addressed by someone knowledgeable.

If no change, the power adapter is probably faulty and needs replacement.

Hope this helps.

What does usb device not recognized ?

Hi,

The best you can do is,

Turn off the PC/Laptop
Disconnect the USB cable from Camera to pc/laptop

Disconnect the power cord connecting the pc/laptop and the wall jack or surge protector
Disconnect the power cord connecting the camera to wall jack or surge protector

wait for 5-10 mins

Connect the power cord of PC/laptop and turn on the pc/laptop and login to your PC
Connect the power cord of Camera to wall jack or surge protector

Connect the usb cable or camera to PC/laptop
It should get recognised and work fine.

Shawn

Garmin nivi 200 won,t turn on

The mini-USB jack needs to be either resoldered or replaced. When the jack is loose, you will not be able to charge the internal battery. The jack becomes loose from overuse. The jack needs more mechanical support to the pronted circuit board. I have fixed this problem many times.
