I turned on our streamer box last night to watch Netflix. Always has worked fine. Now the T.V. screen is just black. Nothing at all.I turn off the streamer box and it goes back to DirecTV like normal.

We are watching T.V. We decide to watch a movie on Netflix. Pick up the streamer remote...turn it "on" and usually a big red NETFLIX banner comes on and off we go to movie land. Now we turn on the streamer box and the screen on the T.V. is just "black" No sound, picture, or anything. Then we turn the remote off and the "disconnecting device" banner comes up and then back to DirecTV. Could the streamer Box have gone bad?

SOURCE: I have Netflix on my iPad so how do I get to watch movies on my tv?

You need a wireless or wired internet connection into the TV or another device that connects to the TV like a blu-ray player with Wi-Fi included. Once you have the bluray player installed, then you access their menu and install their apps. Each bluray player is different so you would have to answer back with a model and manufacturer to give you specifics to your model.

This can be caused by either a Netflix issue or an internet issue by your provider. The first thing I always do is go to netflix support; they have instructions. Type just this in at your path location at the top of your screen: netflix.com/support

The second thing that sometimes works is to just turn off your router, then turn it back on after counting to 45. Sometimes it just needs a reboot or a reset to bring it back on.

Good luck! If these don't help, please send another message here.

Why do I not have color on Netflix??

It could a number of things first if you are watching on the computer I would suggest seting the display for 16 bit color rather than 32 bit. Make sure no other program is runniing like anti-virus, etc., when watching a movie. Check the settings on the monitor too.

Now if you are watching Netflix on a Smart TV or through a Media Streamer, then check you settings the TV and if through a Media Streamer check the connectons. Good Luck.

How do I get picture back on TV which was working the night before, which is hooked up to HD cable box, thru HDMI?

OS info is always helpful, if say you are running some type of nix, it's likely not getting recognized by xserver or if your running some version of windows your display manager has shut it down because of a resolution mismatch.

Every night- at the same time- while watching Netflix on my Wii- through a WiFi connection- Netflix streaming will freeze, retrieve then fail. I can sometimes select Try Again and it will work for a short...

Hmm... I am not sure, but this can be because of your internet provider. Some IP's "reboot"their internet hosting servers to wipe all the non useful info that got collected over the day. I really dont know why you wouldn't be able to continue watching after the internet was back again.

Zenith TV has a big black box in the middle of the screen.

After reading other postings, we figured out that it was the caption box, went to menu and turned it off.
Thanks for the great site, we wouldn't have figured it out without it !

Big black box in the middle of the screen

The black box is there because your closed captioning is on and set to text mode. Some channels send the signal even when there is no actual text to display. You can get rid of it by either turning off closed captioning or changing it to CC1 or CC2 mode instead of text. If you can't find those settings, then restore factory settings as directed in your user manual.
