GPlease help me fix thir loaded briefly powers up then overload light appears after Five seconds
If the receiver works at low volume, but goes into OVERLOAD and shuts down at higher volume, it means you are player the unit too long and too loud. Try yo keep the volume down to a reasonable volume.
Remove top cover, then find access to the fan,,3 fast locks to chassis. Remove fan and resolder 2 fan terminals, and with plenty solder and flux... Clean up your mess , reinstall fan, making sure that fan and mating connector pins contact.Bend chassis contacts, resolder both contacts to ensure good electrical contact Turn on amp with bass boost on and Stereo mid range , Notice that the fan turns on with high output levels... This is a typical cooling fu from Technics´design.
If you have the skills, these technics amps are known to get bad solder connections on the amplifier ic's and voltage regulators. You can access these points through the bottom access panel. Look for any fish-eye solder joints.
Overloads are often caused by short circuit conditions on speakers or the wires to them. Remove all speaker wiring and then try powering up. If the overload light continues to come on you might have blown something on the main amp board, such as a power transitor, that was caused by bad wiring or speaker problems.
That can be true, especially if the wrong speakers are fitted making the amp work harder. However a fault can also cause it to do that too.
Just some more input, if you had a speaker wire shorted, or a bad transistor(unless it's an overload transistor)it would not say OVERLOADED, it would say PROTECTION, as in a blown amplifier.

Power down, disconnect the speakers and power back up. If it still say's overload, it needs to go to service. If not, check your wires, connections, and speakers one by one to hunt down the problem and correct. Hope this helps

hello ive got a diffrent problem ive got a technics hifi and when u put it onto aux it says txe-rvc and cd is dc its all the wrong way around what can i do thanks

Are these resistors near or linked to whatever is on the heat sink? If they are then they are bais resistors and they have burned up due to a fault on the devices on the heat sink.
Resistors are cheap, all you need to do is find out what value they are. This is part of the colour code. However if they are burned then you might not be able to read the code! So you will need the circuit diagram or someone to tell you the value.
The problem however will be if whatever on the heatsink has gone!
It could be an IC since you have lost both channels, unless you have shorted the speaker wires of both channels somehow and blown both right and left amps!

I just bought a Technics SU-G91, hoping to connect to my akai GX-230D reel to reel and speakers. do I need to get anything else to hear it, like a receiver/tuner? everything appears to be working or have I just hooked it up wrong?
