Most tvs like yours flash codes using a blinking method to a number code that can be used to look up in a service manual. You might want to count the blinks then let us know the model number so we can look it up for you.

SOURCE: blinking green light tv won't turn on

I suspect both of you have a failed main power supply, this model may not be well-protected against brownouts or surges.
The main supply is usually a separate board and if you remove the lower rear panel, look for a board that seems to be related to the AC line and has larger components than the other boards. Some of them will be cylindrical and others block-like.
Look for a board number since this is a component that is often outsourced and may not be from the same manufacturer in every set. Call the nearest service center to inquire about repair or replacement costs.

I have a Mitsubishi WD-62525 HDTV that suddenly wont turn on. Just has a green blinking light when you hit the power button. Any ideas?

I found this on another website, most likely it is your power supply capacitors.
  1. Press the "reset" button and hold for 10 seconds .... Does TV turn on and blinking green light turn to solid green.

  2. Unplug the TV from it's power source for various times, ranging between 5 minutes and 24 hours..... Does blinking green light continue upon plugging in the TV.

  3. Disconnect ALL devices from the TV; DVD, Tuner, Cable Box, unplug the TV for various duration times .... Does blinking green light continues upon plugging in the TV.

  4. Press Power and Menu buttons simultaneously and hold depressed for 20 seconds .... Does blinking green light continue to flash.

  5. Press Power and Display buttons simultaneously and hold depressed for 20 seconds .... Does blinking green light continue to flash.

  6. Insure that no front panel buttons are inadvertently stuck in an "engaged" position.

Diagnosis: If none of the above test resolve the issue, then the failure lies in one of the following:

  1. DM Module Capacitors have FAILED.
  2. DM Module is defective.
  3. EEPROM Board failure
  4. Power Supply failure.

The green light on front of tv keeps flashing and tv wont turn on

Howdy,

The green light blinking indicates your TV has a problem. The problem is that each Brand of TV has different codes and with out the Brand and Model number, I can not help you at this time.

Please, count blinking sequence. Model number will be on back of TV.

Recap : Provide Model Number, Brand and Count Blinks.

First though; unplug TV from power source for 3-5 minutes then plug TV & box back into a/c outlet.

Good Luck, BIG IRISH.

I WAS WATCHIN TV THE OTHER NIGHT AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE TV TURNED ITSELF OFF AND THE LITTLE GREEN LIGHT IN FRONT STARTED FLASHING VERY FAST -SO I UNPLUGGED MY TV AND THEN PLUGGED IT BACK IN AND THE GREEN...

Some of these sets if you unplug them---The green power light will blink for about 70 seconds before it stops--this is normal as the receiver unit in this set is booting up. Wait for the light to stop blinking and then the set should turn on. Some of these sets develop a problem where the light never stops blinking--usually the receiver is now bad--very expensive to get fixed.

I do this here for free so if this helps you give me a vote here.

Mitsubishi WS-55511 Problem TV out - Getting only continously blinking green light on the front-panel

I had the same problem with the blinking light on the front of the TV and it would not power up. I read all the problems everyone was having and thought I was going to face a huge repair bill. The service guy came out, pulled off the front panel where the speakers are and disconnected the circuit for the front display panel. 3 1/2 minutes in my house, $90 service call. Apparently, when you give the TV too many commands at once, it's safety feature is to"shut down and lock up". He mentioned also that sometimes when these sets get to be about 4-5 years old, the wires in front can "leak" causing a shortage and then locking up the TV. I keep the circuit unplugged and operate the TV solely by the remote. Give it a try, what can it hurt!! Hope this helps.

Green power light will not stop flashing and tv will not turn on or off

You need to replace the 1000uf capacitors on the DM board thats the classic symptom of the DM caps being bad the light continues to blink repeatedly. If you need more info on the repair let me know.

Kds55a2000 red light flashing

The SONY Owner's Manual for the KDS55A2000 does not state what the 4 times blinking Power LED means.

However, my Sony Extended Care Service support insists that the projection lamp is the cause for the 4X blinking LED
Power light.
I do not agree but am forced to buy a replacement lamp (not cheap) to prove that the problem is probably the fan, as the TV Technician states elsewhere in these FixYa support questions and answer

on the signal board replace the caps by the 5/9 volt regulators. c2p04 is the main culprit. 6 caps in total can be changed. I believe c2p05 also.
