SOURCE: 65" Mitsubishi projection tv, my colors are not matching up.

If red or blue will not adjust in some direction--you have a Convergence circuit problem---

This model (WS-65809) uses two of the STK-392-570 Convergence IC's---

Green for a good reason is not adjustable in the customer mode---it is only adjusted for the Geometry or straightness of the picture and then red and blue are adjusted to it.

If you are able to do this repair yourself you can save the set and a lot of money---most shops charge 300-400 for this type of repair in this set.

You can buy both chips for about 14 dollars on Ebay- and I have step by step---start to finish instructions for this repair in this set--they tell also everything you will need to do and what you need.

If you want the instructions let me know---I am not allowed to post MY email here.....but you.....

Not everyone can do this repair---Let me know if you have any questions or need advice----

If you get someone else to do the repair make sure BOTH chips get replaced or the set will have the same problem again in a few months.

WS-65809?, if convergence is skewed and comes and goes, uses two of the STK-392-570 CONVERGENCE IC chips.

I have seen a lot of the Mitsubishi sets that use these two chips where the convergence jumps in and out. You need to replace both chips and adjust the set.

You can buy a pair of the chips on EBAY for less than 13 dollars plus shipping.

I HAVE START TO FINISH, STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR THIS REPAIR IN THE SETS THAT USE THESE TWO CHIPS.

If you or someone you know can do the repair you can save the set and a lot of money--most shops are going to get at least 300 for this kind of repair--I know as I have done hundreds of them here.

The instructions tell you everything you will need and how to do the repair. I have helped many people here do this based on my instructions.

If you want the instructions let me know and I will either post them here or send them to you.

If this information has helped you, rate this solution as I do this here for FREE.

Hello There, Its seems that the circuit board has problems. You'll have to get it replaced ASAP before the board is ruined completely.
The same thing also happened to me 2-3 weeks ago. the techs came in and had to replace the board since 1 circuit was damaged.
It will cost around $100

Good Day;

You have poor connections on your "convergence IC's. Middle board IC's on large silver heat sink. Redo solder before total failure. Good Luck, big IRISH.

in the front cover turn up screens on all colors till you see retrace lines, then back them down to where dissappear. enless you know the correct voltage to set it. as for the green. i would try the red crt on the green and see if it looks ok. if so then replace crt circuit or check transistors on crt circuit may also need to change the driver on the heat sync.
