What can I do, just purchased a watch and is not working properly.

I purchased a watch for my husband on October 4, it stops working after 3-4 days. I did not buy the extended plan that AAFES offers since we have had several Fossil watches in the past and all have been very good quality watches. We are with the American forces living in Germany and have an APO AE address witch works as if we were living in USA.

Honestly if it were me, I would simply return it to where it was purchased.
Also know that anything purchased via a credit card is usually protected.
You can call the credit card company and tell them the item is defective. They will ask if you have tried to remedy the situation with the seller, and go from there.
I hope you get your refund. God Bless and Thank you and your husband for your service.

SOURCE: watch stopped after not being used for several days

The shaking is not the best way to restart the automatic watch as it puts slight strain on watch balance wheel and hairspring (most delicate part in watch).
As watch balance wheel is positioned paralel(leveled) to watch dial, you have to spin your watch back and forth a few times quite quickly.
(Imagine you are turning steering wheel in your car- thats the right motion). Before doing that wind up your watch a few times manually.
Right after doing that observe the seconds hand and if it is ticking just a little bit or ticking back and forth and then stops- your watch has jammed gear train and this is the reason why it stops.
If you don't have seconds hand- after shaking your watch listen for ticking and again- if it stops after short run, the gear train is to blame. In this case you will need watchmakers help as special skills and tools are needed to sort this out.
Do not forget to rate, please.

The date and day have stopped working on my replica rolex daydate i have adjusted the pin several times but it is still not moving?

Your calendar wheel is damaged. Unfortunately, it is illegal to own or work on a Rolex replica / fake Rolex as it is a trademark violation. I would suggest purchasing a genuine Rolex as a replacement, as there are generally no identifiable movements, and therefore no identifiable replacement parts for the movement in your timepiece.

Be aware, however, that all automatic and mechanical watches, such as Rolex, must be services regularly, every 3-5 years, for them to last and work properly. Thanks for the rating!

Take it back to the dealer and insist that he takes it back and gives you either a refund or a replacement.

It is clearly faulty and it is his liability to put is right.

The second hand will not re-set to zero. It has stopped. The watch works perfectly during the day apart from the second hand not moving, but , the watch stops at 11.15 at night. When I get up in the...

This is a symptom of what is usually several possible issues:

1) The most common is that the battery must be changed. Insist on Energizer batteries only (as they do not leak) and visit your local Certified Master Horologist for assistance in changing the battery and resetting the watch.
2) The movement must be serviced every 3-5 years by a qualified professional. Dust and debris can cause the symptom of stopping and starting the movement. If you have owned it for less time than this, remember that the watch may have been manufactured and in the retail location longer than this period of time before it was purchased.
3) The movement is defective or damaged. If the watch is under warranty, and it was purchased through an authorized dealer, Armani will take care of this issue for you at no charge.

To properly assess this issue, I recommend taking the first step, as a CMH also has the proper tools to test the movement and battery to determine the best next course of action.

My husband purchased a new PS watch, that doesn't need batteries, but is suppose to stay going by movement. The problem is it stops all of the time if he is not actively moving.

Kinetic dive watches utilize motion, or kinetic energy from watch or hand movement. If there is inadequate movement to keep the watch going.

RECOMENDATION:

1. Involve some much needed physical movement (Physical Training) that will both help the wearer and the watch with the watch being the judge of if he is moving enough every day?

2. Get a battery powered watch.

Number one is a better solution.

Hope this tip helps.

Repair location in my area

Try AWCI.com for someone in your area. I recommend a good watchmaker even for a cell replacement, they will usually clean the case and band, do a consumption check, a min run voltage test and a water resistance test and new seals to keep watch fresh.

Automatic Watch Stops

There can be hundereds of causes why your watch isn't working properly, so, I'll not name them.
One is clear- without help of skilled watchmaker your watch will NEVER work properly.
NOTE: It may sound very strange, but mechanical watches do NOT like to be left without job.
Next time you decide to leave mechanical watch aside for long time- do not forget to wind it up once in a 2-3 days even if you are not wearing it.
This will help to prolong watch movements life and keep timekeeping steady and accurate.

Rolex runs down

sounds like you need a new watchmaker, Your watch is designed to be worn 16 hours a day an rested for 8 while you sleep and this should keep it running. there are several different mainsprings that can be installed depending on the age and your activity level. I would be happy to take a look at it for you.

The watch stopped working

The Tag Heur repair center says an automatic watch must go through an "initiation" process. They recommend winding manually 40 revolution of the crown clockwise. You must wear an automatic watch at least eight hours per day. Repat the initiation if the watch is not worn for 20 hours or so.
