sending message came from the simcard sms setting...... check your message setting like message center..check the home network what simcard you used. by the way your phone receive message you can call or receive call if yes the problem of your phone is wrong message center number... check it
go to message/message setting/message center. check the number if correct or not..

That means there is a message. If it's blinking at the top of the phone it means that you need to check your messages. After you check them the blinking will stop.
