Unless the TV has a proper on/off switch, when it's plugged in it's either in 'standby' or it's 'on' - those are your two choices!
Contrary to what we're being duped into believing, the energy consumption in standby is almost nothing, and you CERTAINLY won't see the difference in your leccy bills.

I have a remote control power strip that all my entertainment center is plugged into. It does save some power and every little bit does add up.

Digihome TV d19906cu turning TV on and off .. Can you only leave it on stand by ?

Most likely standby is as powered down as it will get. There is some power used by TV sets when they are off, to maintain settings and channel memory, but this is very little power. You could put it on a power strip with a switch and turn off the power when you are not using it, but it's likely you will have to set it back up and scan the channels each time you turn it on.

My Digihome 39180SM FHD LED TV will not go past the standby stage. Brand new and will not turn on.

Main board fault. As there is standby light, the main power regulator board works well. Contact any service technician. In most cases, a firmware update might be necessary, after replacement of the main board. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" or "Magazine" will make surf easy. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. Do a search by type in the brand name of your device at its search box.

I have a 22" digihome LCD TV with built in DVD. At 3am every morning the DVD activates and buzzes away. The screen doesn't come on but there is a loud click as the speakers activate. How can I stop this...

3am is the freeview box update time it will do this every day at 3am the loud click you hear you should not hear it but it may be the update switch that turns the tv out of standby for the freeview to be updated its a different switch that turn this on and may be sticking.

My Digihome tv 32913LCDDVD is stuck in standby (blue light flashing) can you help me resolve this problem please

Count the number of flashes occur at one time switch ON. These flashes are called blinking codes; and are fault indications. Form the number of these blinks, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside the TV. If you wish to get more details about these blinking codes, check the site linked here. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Pull up previous posts by its left sidebar, or type in the brand name and model number to of your set, to its search box, and press 'Enter' or view it in Mosaic / Timeslide option.

I have a Digihome DV940B freeview receiver, and wish to set it up with a tv and video how and where do I put the areal and scart leads

This depends on how you want to use your kit, and how many scart plugs you have in your TV and VCR.
If you have 2 scarts in your tv;
Aerial coax goes to digihome aerial in. Aerial out from digihome to aerial in of vcr. Tune vcr into Digihome.
Scart plug from digihome to tv.
Scart plug from vcr to tv.
You can then record what you have selected on your digihome box.
In my humble opinion, it's worth splashing out on a pvr; you have more functionality such as being able to record 1 program and watch another.

Dvdr5520h upgrade required

It's not a solution but it may help. Mine will download on standby overnight but will then lose it all if left on standby during the day so switch it on in thew morning and leave it on all day. I'm waiting for a response from Philips.

I have occasional days where I can wait for 3 or 4 minutes for a button press to register be patient it works eventually!
