87 or higher octane unleaded gasoline mixed 2 cycle engine oil at 40:1.

There is multi-mix engine oil produces a mix that can be used in any 2 cycle that needs 50:1 up to 16:1 oil mix. Makes it much simpler to have container of 2 fuel than several containers going bad.

I purchased the weedeater last year and it ran fine. This year I can only set the choke setting on #2. If I place the setting on #3 the motor will cut off. Please help. Thank you.

Its very important to drain fuel at end of season and use stabilizer but now the car will need to be cleaned you can do it yourself with carb cleaner that carb off and remove both covers spray real good hope it works if not new carb needed

Need "L" and "H" setting on carb mixture screws

Lightly seat the screws all the way in....then back them out about 1 and 1/2 turns. From there here is how to do the final Zama diaghragm carburetor adjustments.

I have a sears gas weedeater wii start then quits?

OK,could be several things. First Im assuming you have the right mixture in. The two fuel set screws on the carb may need adj,one is for high rev the other is for low end, this should be done by a proffesional. The carb could also need rebuilt and cleaned,it is deffinately in your carb though.

Twist and Edge Weedeater will not start.

You will have to check all the hoses and carb gaskets/diaphrgms. Get the model # off you carb and buy a repair kit from http://www.m-and-d.com/STENS-ZAMA_repair_parts.html
replace the fuel hoses. Be careful to put them back in the correct configuration.

Blowing gas out the air intake

Eight years is great for a weedeater! Blowing out can mean something is stuck in the reed valves, or one may be broken. They are just under the carb, usually. Be real careful with the gaskets. If you mess up any, silicone will do. Use good car gasket silicone.

Craftsman weedeater wont start

The problem that I had with my craftsman was that I found that there was a tube in the fuel tank that goes to the carb, & at the other end - inside the tank, there was a small screen with maybe a weight on it (to keep it in the gas no matter what position the weedeater is in). Mine was plugged up and i went to the saw shop and got a generic hose & end with the screen deal & changed them out. Solved my problem. Rick
