Can Richmond tankless heater which is now LP be converted to natural gas?

If it can, then it is done with dip switch settings.
Read your product manual.
Switching types of gas, and messing with dip switches is dangerous.
LP gas burns much hotter than NG, and LP pressures are much higher than NG
Call Rheem with serial number and they might supply the information to you, but will likely tell you to call service technician... leaving you in exact same spot you are in now.

I have a Bosch GWH 425 HNO propane Tankless Water Heater which began intermittently exploding when demand for hot water occurs.

Call a qualified service tech immediately.
Gas explosion indicates dirty combustion parts, and gas is not fully igniting when tankless turns on the gas. So gas builds up and then explodes causing serious damage to tankless, and serious risk to homeowner.

Tankless are complex electronic machines.
If on-site plumbers cannot figure out problem, then you need trained service technician with a service manual for your specific product, who can ohm-test the electronics.
Bosch will have a list of trained service technicians. And maybe Bosch has another step for fixing problem yourself.

Fix most tankless problems yourself, same day, for $330.

Black soot on outside wall above hot air exhaust. Excess flame, incomplete combustion? How to adjust/correct?

All gas water heaters, tankless and tank-type, require cleaning burner and combustion parts.
Tankless manuals suggest once per year.
Tank-type once every 2-3 years.

Tankless require yearly maintenance as outlined in manual.
No tankless manufacturer suggests do-it-yourself repairs on their product, in part for liability and danger to customers, but for long-term customer satisfaction.
Repairs and yearly maintenance will eliminate the $1-8 monthly energy savings expected from owning tankless.

I have a Bosch GWH 2700 CTDR EFS NG and the water will not get hot and if it does, it's only for a brief moment.

A lot of factors, internal and external, can cause this problem ranging from bad PC board to plumbing problem.

Since you have no error code, it could be plumbing,

Error codes re: fan speed fan very noisy

I was looking for a service manual, which you apparently do not supply. I was not looking for someone who will charge me a fee to get information. I can get that info directly from Bosch for free. Thank you for answering. John
