I think by a "cold reset" you mean returning all the settings to their factory default settings. However rather than just tell you to do this (in case you mean something else) I give below the link to the Dell website which has the machine's user manual in pdf format which can be saved to your computer and perused at your leisure to make absolutely sure you use the "reset" that you want.
