Install water line

if the water is turned on you probably have a bad valve take the line off of the valve
at the back of the refrigerator see if you have water if you do its the valve

start by checking the solenoid that supplies the dispenser to see if it is burned out. It is usually located in the back lower part of frig where the water inlet line hooks to. There are usually 2 solenoids.... the ice maker and the dispenser. Unplug the frig before testing these. The resistance across the ice maker and dispenser are usually the same. If the dispenser solenoid is "open" on the ohm meter then the whole water supply valve needs replaced. Another problem with some units where the dispenser is on the FREEZER side...the lines behind the door will freeze.

sounds like the water solenoid is bad. It is located normally bottom right as you look at the back of the frig. Its where your water line hooks up. Turn off the water and replace the water solenoid (water valve) good luck.

there should be a water valve with a 1/4 compression male connection on it in plain sight. If it is not there, I could only venture a guess that someone has removed it. Was this a new frig? On the picture I see it has a dispenser in the door so I know it should have come with a valve. I doubt you are missing this though. ALL of the frigs I have seen, it is at the very bottom right if you are looking at the back of the frig.

I looked up your frig and I did not see a filter. If you want to use one, you can install what is called an inline filter. This is simply a filter you install behind the frig attached to the water line going to the frig.

All you have to is unhook the water line from the frig, attach it to your newly bought inline filter, and install another water line on the other side of the filter and hook that back up to the frig!

So now you have a filter and two water lines :) Just make sure to point the filter the right way, the usually have an arrow on them. The water is supposed to flow through them in a certain direction.

Follow the water line from the wall to the frig, it normally goes to water filter first, from there to water valve located on right rear (in most cases) of frig. Just follow the plastic lines. Another way to find it is to follow the line from the ice maker back to the water valve.

Yes, it was hooked up at the last location, but I wasn't the one who put installed the frig, and the movers disconnected it, so I don't know how it was done.

If its got a filter under the frig. just hook your water to the house water line. If not then put a filter in the cabnet next to your frig. Or in a handy place to get to. And you will have to hold your water lever for a long time till all the air gets out of the line. there is a extra long hose you must fill up in your frig side. It is used to keep cold water ready to drink.

make sure freezer door is closed all of the way when you press for water does dispencer light up and make click if it does make sure water comes out of pipe before hooking with frig. if you have water there make sure plastic water line is not crushed or kinked on back of frig.

• it is kind of hard to explain without being there, so please bear with me. 
  
• if the refrigerator has a water filter then 2 lines will will go to it, probably diagonally up the back of the refrigerator. the water goes through the filter first then back to the valve.
•  then another line will go strait up the back of the refrigerator to the icemaker.
•  the line that goes under the refrigerator is for the water dispenser in the door.
•  the water valve should have come with instructions on which line goes where on the valve, there is now way for me to convey this to you. the valve assembly you described is proprietary for your machine.
