How do you unlock the built in Mouse pad?

I was checking my email and it suddenly just locked up. I've looked up multiple ways to unlock it but none have been helpful. I have tried clicking the icon in the bottom right, and I have tried pressing Fn+F7 and neither one had any success. I get no other options from searches. Please help!

SOURCE: keyboard and touch pad locked

reboot- if that does not work the keyboard/touchpad may be disconnected or bad. ram is under an access panel on the bottom in the middle- you need a small screwdriver to add ram (ddr)

SOURCE: Mouse pad buttons not working

If the left mouse button is not working, then it is most likely the microswitch in the button has failed. To fix, you will need to replace the palmrest assembly

SOURCE: intel PRO/Wireless is turned off and I need help turning it on.

Hi,
just go to Network Connection >>right click Wireless Adapte>>Enable.
if doesn't work try to uninstall the Wireless NIC from the Device Manager, go to Device Manager>>Network Adapter(expand)>>Right click on wireless adapter>>uninstall.
once done, click on Action Menu on the top and click on Scan for hardware changes. It would automatically detect the wireless card.
then try to use it, it should work fine :)

SOURCE: My Vostro 1500 will not turn on anymore...help please!

Reset/replace the Ram/memory. Sometimes faulty and failing ram can keep a computer from booting up. If you have 2 sticks, take one out and then try to boot, then try with just the other stick. The flashing caps lock icon means a general failure, though it is most commonly associated with the motherboard.

SOURCE: mouse on my dell computer is lock up.

You could unlock it from, dell touchpad icon (you will find it beside the clock in the bottom right),after you open it you will find options for external mouse and such that, you will know your way for unlocking your touchpad.

I accidentally locked my cursor. I'm in Word. I leaned (unwittingly) on my built-in mousepad, the little light in the NW corner of the "mousepad" went on, and locked the cursor. How do I unlock it?

Whats the model of your laptop, it may have a button combination to unlock the mouse, or even a single button that locks / unlocks it.

You could always plug an external USB mouse into it in the meantime.

Unlock keyboard for a Acer AS7540-1284

The Keyboard is locked? Or do you mean maybe the mouse pointer is locked? Look on your keyboard and see if you see anything that resembles a mouse touch pad. Some systems will lock the touch pad, but it can be unlocked by hitting a combination of keys, such as holding the FN key + the key with the touchpad icon.

The touch pad was working and now all of a sudden its not

Check your model for a mouse pad disable key. A lot of times it is right above the mouse pad (and is easily bumped) or a function key. It generally looks like a symbol of two mousepads with the second one having a line drawn through it.

Try pressing this button or holding in the Fn key (lower left hand corner) and pressing the function key and see if that resolves your issue.

If not make sure mouse drivers are installed and working properly.

If none of this helps, please post your model and Windows version.

Please leave feedback if this was helpful.

When my new hp mouse pad locks, how do i unlock it without restarting the computer?

There should be a button above the pad or work your way using the keybord to mouse properties and go to the page that has the name of your track pad and select enable.

When using touchpad, cursor jumps all over the place. I"ve tried adjusting settings in multiple ways. Common problem?

sounds like the touch pad is playing up, plug in a usb mouse, and if that works, then it is the touch pad itself

Mouse pad is locked how do I unlock it?

hi
your track-pad mouse has a horizontal bar-shaped button above it with an orange light next to it, try pressing that button. The light should turn white and your mouse should begin working again.

Maxdata keyboard suddenly does not work after two years.  Only the touch pad works

sounds like your keyboard connector has come loose, these eyboard units are actually a seperate keyboard and mouse pad built into one unit, so the mouse's electronics are seperate,

you may also want to check the connector to see if there are any broken/bent pins in the connector (sometimes happens, when accidently unplugged)

hope this helps :)
