Hi there,
When you plug in the memory stick, open Disk Management and check if it is visible there. Open Device Manager and look for it under USB devices. If it is listed there, uninstall it, restart the PC and plug it in again.

Hope this helps

Computer does not reconize mermory stick

Either the port on the computer is bad or the memory stick is bad.

If you are using a usb port to plug in the memory stick, try another usb port.

Try plugging the memory stick into another computer to see if it works or if it is bad.

I thought my camera was fine until I plugged it into te computer after taking pictures, the pictures were all corrupted and even after I put them on the computer I couldn't view them, it does say there is...

This usually due to the memory stick on the digital camera getting corrupted etc. You will have to re-format the memory stick, but will lose the photos on it. You can try backing up the photos from the memory stick to the PC and see if you are able to view them correctly. The best would be to get a new memory stick if this continues to happen. Let me know, how you come along.

Just added new memory and now nothing comes up when powered up I checked to make sure I had the stick in correctly, but the computer beeps when powered up, and nothing shows up on the monitor...

Try turning the computer on without the new memory stick in. If that works, it's either the new memory stick is not plugged all the way in (most probable), the new memory stick is not compatible with your computer (highly unlikely since I'm sure you checked compatibility first).

Best way to put a mem stick in is to hold it on top and push it firmly downwards until the clips that secures the mem stick click in place. :)

Computer doesnt open the stick, as I pulled it out with out ejecting correctly

As this has happened to me recently... I'm not sure if you have used the memory stick in the past but if it has never read the stick then it just may be a bad one. If you have used it you have to remember that memory sticks are very tempermental. They will work one moment then not work the next. Always keep your thumb drive backed up on a hard drive. That is your best bet

Your laptap MS card reader might not be properly installed. It might have been uninstalled or corrupted, which can always happen. Try going to your control panel, device manager, then uninstall the device, and install it again. It shoudl work this time. Good luck.

How to?.....

You should be able to transfer the images directly to your computer without transfering them to you memory stick duo. Have you tried connecting the camera to your computer and retrieving the images? If you would rather have the images on your camera on your memory stick duo, then remove the memory stick duo connect the camera to your computer, copy the images off of the camera, turn the camera off, put the memory stick duo back into the camera, plug the camera back in, then transfer the images that you just transfered from the cybershot to your computer back to the camera. They should copy directly to the memory stick duo.
