Ok, have galaxy s5 running I think android 4.4 kitkat. With corded headset I can press button and use built in svoice to make calls, send texts, check weather, etc. all using voice commands. I can't even get bluetooth to voice dial a call. I've checked settings...wake up is set to on during lock screen, and it won't work even when screen is unlocked. Can anyone help me figure out how to get bluetooth to work with voice command???
To have your Bluetooth use voice dialer, Unlock your phone, press the call/ answer button on your Bluetooth headset. Your phone will say "Complete action using" Select S voice, and select Always. Now you should be able to use your Bluetooth to dial, text, check weather etc.
Corded headsets do not have Bluetooth. Do you have a Bluetooth headset (wireless) handy to test the Bluetooth function properly?
I know the difference. Corded headset works with svoice. Bluetooth headset doesn't work with svoice
If that is the case, then the problem is definitely svoice. It is only compatible with a few Bluetooth headsets. However, it works well with most vehicle Bluetooth devices (go figure). You can, however, use Google Voice, which works with nearly every headset on the market. I hope this helps!
Can you tell me what headsets are compatible with svoice? Can't seem to get Google voice to work either. Crazy, never had this problem with older flip phones but with this smartphone I can do anything else with, can't get voice commands to work with Bluetooth. Wtf.
The compatible list isn't published, unfortunately. People have just been trying stuff hit-or-miss.
But, that's how people know that it works well with automobiles. Try google with the lock screen turned off. Remember to set the voice command checkbox that routes voice commands through the bluetooth. Once you get google voice working, then re-enable the lock screen.

SOURCE: my instinct is stuck on the dial pad and speed dial area
I had the same problem, call sprint and tell them the problem and they should exchange it for you, the problem is that the screen colapsed just enough to be touching that area of the phone. Don't go to a sprint store all they will tell you is its not under warranty and insurance should cover it. 100.00. hell no.
Its free replacement if you call sprint......
SOURCE: i cant acess my setting to calibrate my phone.
Ok there might be a battery issue. Or there might need to be a touch calibration reset. To do that go to your settings and select touch calibration and do it again.
ALSO IF YOUR PHONE IS STILL IN WARRENTY AKA WITHIN 1 YEAR OF PURCHASE THEN CALL 1800 801 1101. THEY WILL HELP YOU. YOU WILL NEED YOUR IMEI NUMBER OFF THE BACK OF THE PHONE. IF NOT CALL THE INSURANCE HOTLINE WHICH IS ON THE AT&T WEBSITE.
