There's no sound coming from my alpine 7995, display, radio, and cd player look and sound like they're working just no sound out the speakers?

  • ky10 Jul 06, 2009

What's a IC and how hard would it be to get and replace it? I hooked up the RCA leads off the back of the head unit to an amp and they work just fine. It's just the normal speaker lines out of the 16 pin plug that do not work. Looks like I'll just run everything through the amp now which will be much more of a pain in the ass but oh well, much better set up now.

Cda-7995 does not produce a pre-amplified signal, the harness coming out the back may have all the colors necessary for your speakers but if you look on the wiring diagram on the cd player it shows that those pins do nothing. You will have two sets of rca's on the back on for your subwoofer, one for an amplifier that will power your regular speakers.

Did you make sure you have no shorted or grounded speakers or speaker wires? Make sure you don't have a bad speaker also. If everything checks out, you may have a bad internal output ic.

I need to know the which color of wire goes to what pin number on the connector that on the back of alpine CDA-7995.

You need a wire harness for your vehicle make. Its like 15 bucks. You plug it into your car harness where the radio goes. It has a little peice of paper to tell you what the color codes are. You need to know what the wires on the receiver are though. For example mine are labeled with small tape that say ground, front left, right rear, Ect. Leave good feedback if this helps. Thanks

Have an ALPINE CDA 7995 that won't eject CD - looking for possible suggestions without having to pull the deck

It should have a reset button on the display, try pressing thatin with a paperclick, toothpick, or something small enough to get into that tiny little switch. If if does not have a reset switch try disconnecting the harness on the back of the radio for just a few seconds and then plug it back in. Once the unit resets, the cd player should initialize and eject the disc.
If this does not work you will need to take it in for service at a repair center. Alpines are very good stereos and worth getting fixed.

Alpine 7800F No sound, don't read.

Blown audio output IC, possibly from miswiring speakers, or accidentaly shorting out one of the speaker wires. It will need to be repaired, or replaced.

Peripheral's Connex2Car adapter to an Alpine CDA-9851

the alpine should recognize it as a "changer" when you select the source; ie: radio, CD, changer. Sounds simple, but have you turned up the volume on the iPod?
The Alpine adapter is $100, but works great, you can totally control all your iPods functions, and it displays all song info on the Alpine decks display.

No sound to the in car speakers from my alpine cda-9827 cd player

What kind of car did you install this in? Did it have a factory radio in it? If I had to take a guess I would think that there is a factory amp that you may have hooked the blue wire from the alpine deck to. If this is the case when you switch to CD the alpine deck turns off the power to the power antenna lead(blue wire) and thus your factory amp. If this is the case hook the factory amp turn on to the blue and white wire and you should be good to go.
