If someone can't increase volume and decrease it from remote (I assume batteries and technically the remote is ok and everything else works on it), just mute and unmute and now Onkyo will let you increase and decrease volume from the remote.

I had the same issue. You can use the on screen volume buttons on screen to stop issue and don't use the physical buttons anymore. Watch out about a month after the volume problem started all physical buttons on my DXN7120 stopped working. There are a few reports of this online, I have not found a fix yet.

You can increase it via the up and down button on the left-side top area. Come to the main screen or idle screen and press the up button. If you are having problem to operate or the button is not working then its stuck or connection is loose. Please go to a Samsung dealer or Service Center to replace or repair it.

When you are receiving a call use the up/down or left/right rocker (the squarish thingy around the circular button in the middle) to increase/decrease the volume. This also works for the speaker volume if you have the speaker on.
