Wow I just worked on one this week. Didn't take any photos. It had a bad wheel over the heater element. Was making a terrible racket. It was full of lint, so I gave it a good cleaning. I am sorry now I didn't take any photos. Your dryer might just need to be broke down and cleaned out. Most of these you are either gonna have heat or not. No in between UNLESS she needs to be cleaned out. To get into this beast (which is the most complicated dryer by the way to get into) you must work from the front of the dryer. Take photos of each operation so yall can get it back together correctly. First remove the door and since the door is reversible take the other 2 screws on the opposite side off. Then the goalpost shaped front just pops off. Next remove the shroud taking care to note where each wire to it connects. Ten get in there and release the belt and yank out the drum. Clean out the dryer and check if the blower wheel is loose. Oil the wheels with zoomspout oil. Safe for dryers and all major appliances.Suggest you sit the dryer on a workbench of a tailgate to clean it up. Since this is a gas dryer you will want to swap out the solenoids. If it heats some then the flame sensor and ignitor are working AND the fuse is not blown. The only other thang in the circuit is them coils which have a peculiar tendency: they work when cold but get hot and quit with age.
Hi, There can be many reasons why your dryer will not start orturn... The most common causes are the belt breaking or jumping off, or the motor going bad...
Here are a couple of tips that I wrote will help you to figure out why your dryer will not run...
Hi,
yes that is the correct cord all right. If you'll notice the new cord has 2 hot (red & black) a neutral (white) and ground/earth (green) wires. In case you are not sure how to connect I've attached a photo which shows the correct way. If my attachment didn't work, check out you-tube and type in "4 wire dryer hook up".
Thanks for visiting "fixya" and good luck

Find the fuse, check across the two terminals to see that the circuit will close. If it doesn't, replace the fuse.
Hint. You can temporarily connect the two wires going to the fuse to see if this makes a difference.
Another hint. A failed fuse is almost always a result of lint clogging some part of the airway.
Pull the rear of the fan cover and vacuum thoroughly. Also blow out or spray out every bit of lint froom every part of the cabinet. Many persons are successful doing this with a pressure washer, then letting it dry thoroughly.
The belt can be replaced as follows. 1 remove top and front of dryer shell 2 belt goes around drum around motor pully then under tentioner wheel 3 replace front and top of dryer (top pops off use a slotted screw driver) Thanx for using Fixya Please take your time to rate me
Sounds like the heating element or coil is out, but it could also be the board to. At any rate, if your not getting any heat what so ever, its more than likely electrical and its best to take it in. If it gets some kind of heat, then you might try cleaning out your dryer vents really good, and also in the dryer. Hope this helps.
there is an oval cover on the back of the dryer. Remove this cover and you will probably find a broken fan belt. A replacement costs about $20 Aus.
NOTE: If you have been using the dryer for a while in this condition there will certainly be moisture inside the dryer. Replace the belt and leave the dryer for a few days to dry itself out (motor and electricals) before firing it up.
