On the Canon scanner 7580, the lid is not closing all the way, which prevents scanning function. I believe the gray handle release that lifts the scanner and resets the scanner may be broken. How do you fix this?

Lid has a couple of other reasons for not closing. but the grey handle does not affect it much. Please see all the screws are correctly tight inside the scanner. Samir Dhingra 9820800633

There grey handle does not reset the scanner. When you press, it pulls back the catch on both sides. If it is working properly, you may need to adjust the two small notches where the catch is held. You can slightly move it so that the scanner closes properly.

My Canon DR 7580 has image void in the front image. Looks like two void columns. The Image reader is clean. Can the upper and lower imager be swapped to see if the problem is the upper imager?

You cannot swap upper and lower images. You can scan the page twice (in duplex mode) by reversing the same. Ensure which side is giving perfect output.
DR 7580 is a CONTACT scanner and hence the paper has to touch the glass surface properly. There are two full sized rollers, just above/below the scanning module, which does this job. Ensure that they are proper and there is enough pressure, press and release 3-4 times to check it is stuck.

Your hard disk must be almost full. Direct the scanning software to send data to a hard Disk location where you have enough space.

How do i remove a print head from my canon ip4500 printer?

With power on, you lift the lid like you are changing ink, you remove all the inks and then lift the gray handle to release the printhead. It tips toward you at the top and lifts out. When you replace it you set the bottom first then tip it back and lower the handle.

Canon dr 7580 is not scanning multiple pages.

Check if you have selected 'multipage' option. Then you will get only a single file, but with multiple pages.
If your question is that the second or subsequent pages are not pulled in for scanning, then you need to change the rubber rollers.

The light on the lid, for scanning negatives won't move

You will most likely find that the FAU cable that connects the lift up lid part to the lower part of the scanner has at least one fractured wire within it. There are eight quite fine wires and the constant opening and closing of the lid has caused this to occur. Unless you have some micro-surgery skills and a small soldering iron it's off to the scanner shop, I'm afraid.

Won't lift

Check the roller cover. If the roller cover is not firmly closed it will cause a feed error.
I opened and firmly closed the roller cover until I hear it click.

After that it lift the tray to scan..

Canon i850 lid over ink cartridges will not close

It sounds like your print head may have dislodged and not be in the correct position, remove the ink cartridges and raise the gray locking handle completely, then lift out the print head and remove it completely ( its the tray inside the slider tray that has the nozzles for the ink tanks ) then reinstall, there should be a slight click when its in the correct postion, reinstall your ink tanks.
