I can't install a new ink cartridge into my easyshare printer as the piece that comes down when printing a picture is stuck in the down position I have tried holding the transfer button at the same time as the left arrow but it hasn't done anything to release it

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. tALKED WITH THE KODAK TECH LINE AND THEY TOLD ME TO...TURN OFF PRINTER, HOLD TRANSFER BUTTON AND LEFT ARROW DOWN AT THE SAME TIME AND TURN THE PRINTER ON. DO THIS THREE TIMES. iT WORKED FOR ME. GIVE IT A TRY.

My printer states "paper jam" although I don't see any paper. I bought new ink cartridges & it doesn't print the multi-color, only the black.

Paper jam means just that. Look for paper or a piece of paper jammed into a gear or stuck between a roller or even in your ink cartridge . When you put in your new ink did you take off the protective seal and run the HP software to check if it is reading the Cartridge ,You might want to read the instruction on how to install an ink cartridge. It might also help you ?

You can gave it a good clean out try.
Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.

And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

We cannot get out printer to print. easyshare

we replaced printhead and it wants us to calibrate and replace ink color ink cartridge, and before we put the printhead in , it had 1/2 full color in cartridge

Hp psc 750 won't print with new color ink cartridge

To solve the printing problem..


# Hold the cartridge upside down, with the bar-code label facing you and take a damp paper towel.
# Use the towel to wipe the printhead of the cartridge on the bottom (where the ink comes out). Wipe the printhead horizontally in one direction only (left to right).
# Continue doing this until it looks clean.
# Then dab the cartridge on the towel to make sure the ink is flowing.
# Next, look inside the printer and locate the carrier that holds ink cartridges. Caution: Make sure the cartridges are not installed at this point.

1. Look for a shiny piece of metal underneath the contacts at the back of the carrier.
2. Take a damp cotton swab (use water only!) and wipe along the bottom of the shiny metal piece. Note: You may need more than one swab.

# Reinstall the cartridges, making sure you snap them correctly into the printer.

Light in color and won't copy dark. It come out light purple

you may try
1) color ink cartridge--- no enough ink or the cartridge ink channel dryer and constipated, refill ink and put down the cartridge bottom surface to water a little for 1 hr, then set back. or change a new cartridge if not fixed go next
2) print head--- the ink channel dryer and constipated, take out print head clean it's ink channel using cleaner or steep in water (do not touch circuit pin area with water) 20 minutes or longer. then set back and test (you can do more times), still not fixed, your print head have to change.

Please follow the steps to clean the print head and install it try to print

Epson stylus photo 1290 'bk ink cartridge not installed properly'

Ameter:
Remove the black ink cartridge.
Check the place where the new cartridge should go. Check for a round small piece like a bushing or a little piece of pipe, stuck at the ink entrance of the printing head. This is a piece from the old cartridge, that sometimes gets loose and remains in place,and when the new one is placed, it doesnot go down to the right place to make contact with the electric connectors in the printing head.
If nothing solves...reinstall the printer drivers.

Not printing

Contact Kodak! I had similar problem after a paper jam. I phoned three days ago and this morning, a new printhead arrived along with two new cartridges. Have installed the printhead and printer is printing beautifully! Thank you Kodak! Great customer service!
