This washer is only 5 years old
The soap, bleach and fabric softner get dispensed by opening a water valve to the dispenser to flush out the items. They then flow to the bottom of the tub. Not all of the water comes out for various reasons, but the important information is that it is seldom critical to performance. If you want to pursue it, check dispenser (take it out) and clean it well. I assume the machine is level.

My fabric softener intermiitently was left with clear water in the tray. The serviceman replaced the tray which did not fix the problem, he then replaced the valve assembly. That fixed the problem for about a year and now I am experiencing the same problem. Being the unit is now out of warranty, I purchased a valve assembly and replaced it but what I found in the process was that the real problem was that after removing the filter screen where the hose connects I found a SECOND mesh filter that was plugged up. I removed it with a needle from the edge so I didnt damage the screen. I think you could also just used a spray bottle with some water and a Q tip to clean. I wasted $50 on a valve assembly, but I did discover this second filter screen that is not mentioned in the user manual. Hope this helps someone because I have not seen this solution posted anywhere.
