My samsung RF323TEDBSR fridge is flashing error code 5E. Tried unplugging, waiting, plugging in - did not clear. Samsung site says its a "defrost sensor" error. How could I fix/replace this party b

This code came up after a power outage. Seems to be cooling, but control touchpad completely unresponsive so can't change temps, etc. Happened previously, and got it to clear after unplugging, but no luck this time.

SOURCE: SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR MODEL RS267 ERROR CODE 5E

Error code 5 E : Ice Maker Function Error - Ice-ejector and level failed three times or more. May simply be a trapped piece of ice which is not too rare a problem especially if the freezer door is left open too long. The ice pieces will stick to each other. It may dislodge itself or if the problem persists you may have to de-freeze it ( letting the freezer defrost over night.)

Error code 24 e. Freezer defrost error. Now what do I do? Help Please!

You have a problem in the de-frost system. Could be a timer, very common, heat element, very common. Look on line or your owner manual and see what that code is telling you. The average person can not make this repair. Hope it is under warranty.

Our fridge compressor won't run after a power outage, can it be reset?

compressors use a small start / run capacitor to start the compressor
modern fridges do not like spikes from power outages and many power boards and electronic components fail because of this and I am inclined top use a surge protector before the fridge cord plug
I went google and typed in --fault code 88-88 for samsung fridge model rf26aewp and the first site up is error codes /messages/ blinking

Showing code 8E

This error code means the ice maker sensor is bad. On Samsung the sensor is part of the actual ice maker which you can find here.

Freezer is not cold enough, even though the control panel says that the temperature is where it should be.

pull the panels inside and check the fan usually in a fridge freezer the fan cacks out or is full of ice clean it out and clean the overflow tube if fridge is cold enough then it is the freezer fan

Samsung rf217acpn/xaa fridge not staying cold and ice build up.

Be sure the drain is clear these are well known for drain blockage. the area behind the shelves is where you would find the evaporator and drain hole.

Temprature blinking

Control board has gone bad....

What happens is the defrost is controlled electronically from a circuit board, when this goes bad, the freezer quits defrosting, and freezes the fans that circulate air through the fridge side of things.

To check this, unplug the entire fridge, leave the freezer open, wait for it to defrost a bit, if this causes the fridge to start cooling again when you plug it back in, then its the defrost. You should also see ice crystals on the back of the freezer just under the icemaker.

Samsung RSA1WTMH i just blew my fusebox and my fridge freezer just flashing 1 led light

Hi,
hope the following helps you, I had a similar problem with my RSH1 and it took me a few hours searching online before I found the following.
"Hi, I have it on good authority that this is the system check for Samsungs (RS21, SRS20, etc) during normal operation, is to hold the top two buttons down, just until display flashes - this will reset the electronics.
Secondly, if the top two buttons are held down for longer (8 seconds) the display goes blank and will show any error messages in the form of DASHES
I have experimented with unplugging air or frost probes - and the error code you get -on a blank screen is different parts of the last digit lighting up.
Example: when i disconnect the fridge air-probe, shut both doors, hold down top buttons around display - The SIDE of the last "8" digit lights up ! ...strange but true.
But, I need to know what it means when the BOTTOM of the "8" digit lights up"

I am still trying to find a list of the error codes the lines refer to but so far my unit is working fine.
