Chromebook will not shutdown only sleep

Probably complete failure of the I/P dimmer

Have to do a Parasitic Current Drain Test, to find
the circuit with the fault,then component test items
in that circuit

You have a module,relay or other item, not timing out
or going to sleep

You can have failed switches in the doors,failed alternator
diodes,many things that can cause that

Even the Evap System, which on some cars, run tests while
your sleeping, can be at fault

Check for OBD Codes in all Modules, with professional scan tool,
then do the drain test, leaving the doors closed

I suspect the monitor. For the sake of troubleshooting: Try another monitor for a few days. If you have the same issue, we will know it is the video card.

Your pc may be set to stsndby or sleep mode instead of shutdown. Have a look at control pamel, power settings and change to shutdown when turning off.

Hi. i believe this to be either of these three problems.
1. Power: it could be that there is a problem with the power electronic element(s). the solution is to go see an engineer.
2. Screen: if the television uses LCD display, it could be a problem with the liquid in it. Solution is to see an engineer.
3. Sleep mode: the TV could be in sleep mode which makes the screen go blank until removed from sleep mode. Solution is to read the TV's users manual to see how to wake a sleeping TV. Get back.

Try a forced shutdown. Press and hold both the sleep (top) button and the home key for about 10 seconds. This will force it to power-down completely. Press the sleep button again for about a second to start it back up again. Also, look into any and all apps you have downloaded. You might have one that is being a memory hog. If all that fails, contact Apple about any warranty on the phone.

Try this first:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake (on top of the iphone) button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. The phone will turn off. Then, push and hold it again, until the phone comes back on.

If that doesn't work, try this:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. This will do a "hard reset" and should bring your iphone back to life!

If these solutions don't work for you, take your phone back, you have 30 days to return it for a brand new phone.

If you know how to open it up and get to the power supply you will find three capacitors 2-820uf and 1-330 @ 25vdc 105o.they will have puffed up tops replace them. FYI the monitor has a 3 year warranty.
