How do I open remote to replace battery on Sylvania portable DVD model sdvd7027-c

I went to Radio Shack an purchased a 15 dollar Phillips universal remote and it worked after entering one code for sylvania combo tv's. I did the Happy dance and now I can watch my tv again.

SOURCE: I have got a sylvania

insert the wire correctly in the tv and check weather all the wires are inserted correctly in dvd or else change that wire which is provided for dvd player

sales brochure says it has a battery
best guess a lithium type
but can see any for sale ..as a single battery replacement
for one
if you didnt have to fit a battery it will be inbuilt

if new will take some time to charge it up

if not charging will be the wall plug adapter or battery failure or an internal failure of the charging section of the devices circuit board

This is a low-end DVD made in China as Larry (Anonymous) says.

90 day warranty on it was the first clue not to buy. Just buy another, a better make If you are using it in a car, you need one MADE for a car.

Turn up volume on my sylvian portable DVD player without remote

The first player we received had a volume wheel on the side of the player, but now the up volume is on the play button and the down volume is on the stop button. So, to stop the video you press the stop button, but to turn down the volume, you hold down the stop button.

The back light, inverter or screen is bad or unplugged. Take it back.

The DVD player maybe faulty and it could be still under warranty.
Take it back to the shop where you bought it to have it repaired ot replaced under warranty.

Clean the cd/dvd with a laser lens cleaning kit. If that doesn't fix it then the unit will need to be replaced.
