I have same problem plz help

If you are using Chrome, try this:

- Click on the Options (the 3 horizontal lines on the top right corner in Chrome)
- Select Settings
- In option "On Startup" select "Open a specific page or set of pages" and click on "Set pages"
- Type "www.google.com" in the text box and click Ok

Open GOOGLE CHROME on the upper right hand corner you should find three (3) bars click on the bars and double click on the word SETTINGS locate ON START UP and click the circle labeled OPEN A SPECIFIC PAGE OR SET OF PAGES> click on SET PAGES this will open a dialog box START UP PAGES go to the ADD A NEW PAGE and type in the ENTER URL BOX https://www.google.com/chrome/ ( This will take you directly to GOOGLE CHROME or for example (www.hotmail.com or what ever you want at your home page to be ). If there is anything listed above the URL box you can delete it by putting your mouse on it and clicking the X on the right hand side to remove it. Hope this helps - Take Care

there should be a star for favouraties and add as favoriates or save as home page depending if you are using regular or google chrome!

First you should get rid of the unwanted program, then in your settings you can enter your desired homepage address. Should be on the first options viewable. If that doesn't fix it, go to about:config and reset the listings with browser in them.

try to perform these steps

if you are using InterNet explorer
1. press windows key+R to open a run box.
2. in that box, type, inetcpl.cpl and hit enter
3. A pop windows will open in which you need to type www.google.com
4, click on apply then ok.
5. restart the Internet Explorer.

If you are using Mozilla FireFox
1. Click on tools and the go to option
2. type the address www.google.com
3. click ok and restart Mozilla Firefox.

If you are using a Google Chrome
1. click on customize and control google chrome button, then click on settings
2. Click onset Pages under On Start Up
3. Type the address www.google.com then click on OK
4. Restart the Google Chrome.

Open Google Chrome and navigate to the download page for the Browser Lock extension at

Click the blue "Install" button on the right side of the page.
Chrome will install Browser Lock and displays the Settings screen.
Click the "Enter New Password" field at the top of the page and type the password that you wish to set for Google Chrome.

Click the "Save & Lock" button at the bottom of the page and then close Google Chrome.
Open the browser again.
The application starts in an unusable state and displays the message "Locked by Browser Lock" at the bottom.


Press the "Ctrl," "Shift" and "L" keys simultaneously on your keyboard.
Type your password and press "Enter" to use Google Chrome.

Simple Startup Password Extension

Download and install Simple Startup Password for Google Chrome. Once the extension is installed, click the "wrench" icon in the upper right corner of the browser window. Select "Tools" and click "Extensions."


Click the "Options" link under "Simple Startup Password."


Click the "Enter Password" field and type the password you want to set for Google Chrome. Click the "Save" button.


Click "OK." Close and re-open Google Chrome.
The browser prompts for a password before it becomes usable.

PanicButton Extension

Download and install PanicButton for Google Chrome.
After the extension is installed, click the "wrench" icon in the upper right corner of the browser window.
Click "Tools" and then "Extensions."

Click the "Options" link under "PanicButton."

Click the drop-down menu under "Password Protection" and select "Yes."
Type the desired password and click the "Save" button.


Click the red "PanicButton" icon in the upper right corner of the window to hide your active browser tabs.
To reveal the hidden tabs, click the button again and type your password.
Note that PanicButton does not prevent Google Chrome from being launched as the previous two extensions do.

FOR INTERNET EXPLORER BROWSER: -open internet explorer
-on the top click on tools -go down to Internet options -in the home page box,type in www.yahoo.com -hit apply,ok
close Internet explorer and open a new one.yahoo website should come on the screen.
FOR MOZILLA BROWSER : -open mozilla -on the top,click on tools -go down to options -under general tab,in the home page box ,type in www.yahoo.com -click on ok -close browser and open a new one -that should do it

FOR GOOGLE CHROME BROWSER -open google chrome -on the upper right-hand corner,click on the wrench tool -go down to options -under homepage,select open this page option and right beside it,put in www.yahoo.com.close google chrome and open a new one

have you tried opening the page in a different browser like firefox or google chrome

1. Set your chorme to use default statup page for google ( E.g. http://www.google.com/webhp?hl=pa )
You can do that by going in OPTIONS -> BASICS

2. Open chorme and you will see google.com is already open

3. Google the name of website you want to browse. ( e.g. type gmail and click search )

4. Right Click the Link to gmail and open in new tab.

5. You have sucessfully opened a new Website in Chorme web browse.
