Tip: The max point reward for answering a question is 15.
Do not start to do this but put the blower in gear like you would run to drive its self and try to turn the wheels by hand and if they turn easily then you may have a shear pin that is broken or missing in the drive pulley.

MTD Yard Machine manuals are available online, but you'll need to locate and copy the model number and serial number, which should be on a model plate that looks like this:
If you can't locate the numbers, or they are difficult to read, it would be best to call their customer service department. They will know which manual you need. They can be reached at 1-330-220-4683, or 1-800-800-7310.
Carb adjustment. There is usually a HIGH and LOW fuel mixture adjustment on the carb. Sounds like the LOW needs to be adjusted. Do a search on the Internet for a service manual for your particular model/make. Simple job IF you have the manual there for guidance.
