Does it matter what positon the dip switches are in, so long as the dip switches on the remote and opener match?

My best advise to you is get the brand name remote for your opener. I know it sounds like a pain but click brands are not super great because there supposed to work for many different kinda. For the most part you can call your local garage door dealer and pick one up for your opener. They may sell you a lift master brand opener which is find sears/liftmaster/chamberlain are all the same. Should only be about 35 bucks if you pick it up

I need to change the code on my garage door opener and I do not have the manual it is a stanley 1/3 hp builders supply t-130.50 opener

My stanley opener is set by flipping a series of dip switches the same on both units. You will need to remove the covers on the remote and the ceiling unit.

I want to know if a universal wireless touchpad can be added to a Stanley Quiet Glide Garage Door Opener? If so, how do you set it up, I did not see any smart button or dip switches?

Hi - did you have any luck? I just bought a Skylink universal remote from Cdn Tire and don't see the "smart" button or dip switches on my Stanley remote or motor casing. There is a learn button on the casing but that appears to be for the door to "learn" the proper setting to go up and down and has nothing to do with the remote. Thanks!

Reset garage door code

Hi, The opener, remotes and keypads have a set of dip switches that you can use to change the code. You will find the switches when you open the remotes and keypad and are in the back cover ( depending on the model) of the opener itself. Make sure that the codes of all the switches are set exactly the same. If you need additional help let me know! Good Luck.

Call Sears and get user manual. It tells you how in the manual. Older models have dip switches and you set the unit to match the motor by turning the corresponding switches on or off. Hope this helps
