How to replace turn table motor

Noise may be due to turn table motor or cooling fan,watch and diagnose,if turn table motor is noise than replacement is solution,in the case of fan noise clean & oil it.

Avantiums are heavy. Underneath the turn table mechanically is only the turn table motor and the frame of the microwave. I would let it sit for a day and dry out before using it. But in the long run it might create corrosion and eventually you will need to replace your turn table motor. But I have seen liquid spilled into the turn table motor and be fine. You may create more damage by uninstalling your microwave to clean up the spill.

Main Control Board

If the microwave turntable doesn't turn the turntable motor is usually the problem. If the motor is good the main control board might be defective

Replacement of the turntable motor should be carried out by a qualified appliance repair service.

But here is a basic method if you are mechanically minded and have electrical safety knowledge.

The motor assembly is fixed to the base of the oven usually with two screws and access is obtained usually by removing the inspection plate directly beneath the motor. It is usually a plug in synchronous motor that revolves at a few revs per minute but the plastic cogs in the motors gear box fail and the motor assembly must be replaced. They are fairly inexpensive and obtainable usually from a domestic appliance repair shop.
If you feel confident, disconnect it from the mains power, remove anything in the cavity and turn it upside down if it is a tabletop model, a little more complicated if it is built in!
Remove the inspection plate, sometimes it must be cut out with sharp cutters, and disconnect the motor. Remove the motor and go and get a new one. Fit the new motor and fit the inspection cover back on the base by turning it to fit and using an extra screw fix it then put the microwave back in its position. Plug it back in, with the turntable and plate. Put a cup of water on the plate inside of the oven and heat for 20 seconds to check the plate goes round.

Now keep the microwave rested on the side andopen the back pannel,you can see the turn table belt drive.If this is broken replace.if not trace the motor connection and mark them.Now heat the microwave in normal position,place the turn table and a cup of water.Close the door and switch on the microwave set for a minute.Now check the voltage on the motor line marked.If present ,then the motor is fault.If not the controller board is faulty, and must be traced.Can be the relay drive or the relay. hope the other sections are working fine.

NOTE: You may consider replacing the turn table coupler (also known as a turn table shaft) as well. This is the small plastic shaft that connects to the turn table motor and is the visible piece inside the oven where the glass tray sits. The coupler will simply pull straight up and come off the motor shaft. They can wear out and begin to slip on the motor shaft.

NOTE: If you are referring to the turn table coupler, this is the small plastic shaft that connects to the turn table motor. This is the visible piece inside the oven where the glass tray sits. The coupler will simply pull straight up and come off the motor shaft. It can also be replaced if required. However, if the coupler were bad, the motor would still run. This would cause the glass tray to slip while turning.

take down the bottom panel and replace the turn table motor p# wb26x10038

if you can check the turn table motor for resistance. 90 percent would be a broken motor which you could replace. just look for the motor at the bottom of the microwave and race the wire back to the pc board.
