Unable to print Brother Printer DCP-J140W
Maintenance unit is not working normally. See if any thing is stuck or replace it.
The machine does not work due to a paper jam, or some sensor error. you need to go the technician to clean your printer, it's a sensor problem...

press menu then start bk-copy then fourtimes arrow up. machine switches to maintenance mode. press start bk copy. what two digit error code does the display show off? Post here again

The encoder strip switched off the ph and has to be set into place again.

An advice:
when you have set the encoder strip in pos. again stick some scotch tape on the top of the ph cover where the strip runs thru to prevend the slipping off again on next paper jam ;-)

uninstall your printer software under control panel/add remove programs..then reinstall your software again make sure your printer is plug to your pc also...hope this helps..ITTech7574
