I have a Carrier Comfort Zone II with 2 controlled zones. The floor with just the sensor controls perfectly. I set that zone at 75 and it stays at 75. The other zone has the actual thermostat. If I set that temperature at 75, it cools to 68 before the unit shuts down. If I raise the set point all the way up to 90, the temperature holds at 73. Do I have a bad thermostat or is there another solution?

Sounds to me like a bad damper or a bad zone panel. Turn tstat off and call for cooling on zone 2. Then see if your still getting cool air to zone 1.( where the main tstat is)

The stat that works is called the main and the other two are called slave stats. The stats must be set to heat or cool the same as the main. If you want one room to cool and one to heat , sorry. Need to upgrade to auto changeover. Is this AC actally a Heat pump?

contact the maker via phone. Some models need a replacement tip over switch to be installed by an electrician or technically competent person.

I noticed they have an option of talking to an engineer, and perhaps they could explain how to reset or set the unit.

We have the same problem, was hit with lightning and came up E1

You didn't get a Carrier tech. Carrier technicians only work on commercial equipment. Residential applicaitions, installation and service of Carrier residential units are done by dealers. They are not carrier owned but get buy the product at discount get training and get to show our logo. You can't fix the boards, they have to be replaced. It sounds like you have a Gen II VVT system. You can get the part via Totaline stores or a distributor. You will need to know how to readdress the other controllers to operate correctly. Use WWW.Carrier.com.
