I have a proscan 32la25q that the backlight will not come on unless you cycle power a bunch of times. Replaced caps. Its just seem the CCLF's are pulling to much current and causing the driver logic to turn them off. I hot wired the TV to auto cycle power until it come one. These is a Blight OK signal I used to know when the back light are on. Anyone else seen this. The Backlights say on once you get them there. Picture is nice and bright. Really like to fix the solution rather than have my Hot wire keep just cycling power.
You either have a faulty backlight or one or more of the inverter transformers is bad,
a close inspection of the picture when on will show a bad tube as it will be lighter or darker than the rest,transformers may be hot to the touch

You have wires hooked properly.
On your remote, hit input button, press down arrow once to AV then press right arrow button.
Then watch a DVD.
It worked for me.

i believe because this is a commercial television. look at the power cord -- three prongs - right?
I had to get a universal remote and program the buttons manually from the original remote to get it to work.
