I had a sandisk that had settings in its menu for two different USB modes. Try the option that corresponds to Mass Storage Mode, this allows the device to be recognized like a USB drive. You can then navigate to the music folder to copy mp3 files from your computer.

SOURCE: my computer does not detect my mp3 player sansa 4.0 gb

What i would recommend you to do is to uninstall the device and reinstall it back...to uninstall it...assuming that you are running windows xp...click on start, right click on my computer and go to properties..you should have your system properties open then click under hardware then device manager...look for the sansa device..it usually located under portable device..if its not showing there i would recommend you to look for under disk drives and see if its there..right click on the device and click on uninstall...after you unintall it unplug your device from the computer....Then follow this link below to download the porting kit...http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=A2E73160-E862-4F19-BB26-C0CAFE798955&displaylang=en .Then check the mode of yuor device to make sure it sunder MTP not msc...To check the mode go under menu, settings and choose usb mode...After you check the mode open up your windows media player click on tools, options and click under privacy...clear the history and caches...after you finish you can plug the device on the back of the computer not the front then windows should recongnize it and it should work properly..if that doesnt solve the problems upgrade your windows media player to 11 even though you have done that already..and try to reconnect your device..make sure you have it connected on the back USB>>>

And if that doesnt work try to obtain the driver for your sandisk device go to http://www.sandisk.com/DriverDownload/index.asp and find the driver for your device..and then connecct the device on the back of your computer...it should work properly..if you are still having any problems..let me know..i would be more than happy to assist you..

SOURCE: My Camnex mp3 player will not play video.

You need to check the file format of the video that came from the computer (MP4, WMV, AVI etc.).

You have to make sure that the MP3 player supports the file format of the video that came from the computer. Because if the player does not support it, it will not either play or show up.

Have a great day!

SOURCE: MP3 Player Not Charging!!! (USB)

The most common cause is a flat battery. There is a trick to charging

the battery in these small mp3 players. It wont charge if it is turned

on, and it won't charges if it's in sleep mode (zzzz). Here what to do...
1. plug the payer into your USB port. or wall charger
2. switch thje player on
3. turn it off by either holding down the play button, or selecting

"System" from the menu
4. The screen will go black and the battery will begin charging.

How do you load music onto a mini mp3 player. It looks like an ipod shuffle but is very simplified. When I plug it into my mac or my pc it doesn't seem to be reading it. I am unsure of how to get it to...

All you do is get another charger or have the apple store fix it for you. Once that is done, plug into your computer and device, and a file should open for it.
Click open to view with files.
Once that is done, you can drag all the songs from your computer to your device. Once is done, safely remove your device with the icon down the bottom right corner.
Then it should be done.

Can't delete folders. response is devise not responding

to delete files there are 2 ways to do this.(1) first is with the on and facing you. on top the is the black menu switch. (2)hold down until it reads play music, and release (3) cycle either way until it reads delete.(4) cycle the switch until it reads del / push switch in (5) cycle to voice (6) push switch in to delete files. (cycle to exit and push switch again it should go to your music.

Second way is to plug it into a computer with plug and play.with the Trio MP3 on, the computer should open up a menu, chose open files (2) the screen should have music, voice and other files on the display. chose the voice file and click it open. use the mouse to delete files / or point and use the key board delete key to delete files. IF PLUG and Play does not open up goto MY Computer and openit up. drop down to the removeable disk and click open. you should be where you can delete the voice file. good luck and have fun.

you need to plug it into a computer and open the files to reset it. there is a bus port that you can plug into --the MP3 player will send a signal to the computer and open a file you can see. you will have to delete or add this way too. I just did my sons MP3.

Frozen player

Hi Franklin: Lets start all over. Verify your MP3 player is not connected to the computer. Now, remove your battery from your MP3 player. Start up your computer. Be sure your are not connected to the Internet. Close all of your background running programs, i.e. anti-spyware, anti-virus, firewalls, etc. Right click your Start button and click on Explore. Now, plug in your Mp3 player to your USB port. Verify that in the list in the left pane shows the Removable Drive or however they list it. Click on your MP3 drive to see all your music files. Be sure your have the folder option of showing hidden files selected. Look for a file in your MP3 player labeled Bootlog and is considered a hidden file in your MP3 player. Cut this file from your player and paste it to a Temp file in case you need to restore or copy it back. Shutdown the computer, remove your player and install the battery. See if that works for you.
