What amp setting do you use when you have two passive monitors 1 ea on amp 1 and 1 ea on amp 2?

As opposed to front of house? If you want separate amplification of a monitor system then use either the aux send channels or sub-channel outputs or control room outputs (but check these are not amplified already) connected to a separate amplifier to power your passive monitors

I'd need to know what mixer you have, to know if there is a [line out] connection socket and an [internal amp in] connection socket.

"each with own poweramp" I presume means the ep1500's and NOT that the speakers are active (ie containing amps)

So if all your speakers are passive, I offer the following.

I assume there is [effect send] and [effect return] on the mixer

effect send>quadraverb>effect return

mixer line out > eq > compressor > sonic maximizer > crossover

sub output of crossover> amp > sub
high output of crossover to mixer's internal amp input
mixer's speaker output > main speakers

monitor output > other side of eq (>other side of compressor if desired, but use sparingly ) > other side of sonic max if it is true stereo , otherwise skip > amp > monitors

If your mixer doesn't have an input to its internal amp, we are "back to the drawing board"
With questions like this it pays to give as much detail as possible; model and make of each component etc

Don't feed amp outputs into powered speakers

If you are using the amp in stereo mode, then you will require a separate amp for the monitors and the input of that amp are taken using BALANCED TRS cables from the monitor jacks. If you are using the amp as MONO and monitor, then connect NO MORE than two 8 ohm speakers to the Speakon plug on the back labeled for use as monitor. Refer to your user manual... they have detailed photos of the connections. If you lost your manual, you can download another from the Behringer site. There are settings you need to do to configure the unit after connecting your speakers. The small slide switch has to be set to the center position for Main/Mon. Make sure it is centered as many people have had it slightlyu off and the system will NOT pass audio. You need to set each channel "monitor 1" level control to send the monitor signal to the MONITOR mixing bus. You will then use the MONITOR 1 slider to control the amount sent to the monitor. Be VERY careful of grounding the sleeve of 1/4 inch jacks that originate at the Speakon power amp outputs as the SLEEVE of channel A is the HOT side and you can blow the power amp for the channel... it is EXPENSIVE to repair.

this mixer has output's from cd/tape(rca plug) that can be used to connect an additional amp for output to a sub. It is designed to use for recording but may also server as a pre-amp output to an external amp of choice.

You are NOT trying to drive speakers from the aux outputs are you? These are LINE outputs that should be using TRS balanced lines to either powered speakers or amplifiers. Often these are used for monitors. The monitoors MUST be powered versions or use external amplifier if the speakers are passive..

Check only one active speaker at the mixer output and report the results.
Connect only one of the audio inputs from the power amp at the mixer output (and the passive speakers at the output) and report the results.
Sometimes (in parallel connections) there are interferences from the volume controls.

First off it's outputs to your speakers. If you had an extra set of powered or amplified speakers you could "Y" cable your speaker outputs. Your passive speakers won't work without an amp. You really need powered speakers or an amp for your extra speakers. (if you had powered/amp'd speakers you could run them off one of you "aux" out for monitors. Do not daisy chain your speakers connecting twi together, you'll change the resistance/ohms and damage your speakers. Trust me, I do this for a living.

Please read my tip on fixya regarding a HAZARD of PMP mixers when using Speakon to 1/4 inch speaker cables. Essentially, the barrel of the 1/4 inch on A channel is the "hot" and one had better never let it touch a grounded point.

Now to your problem...You may have to run the MAIN sliders near the unity setting (zero Db).

It is important to set the trims correctely. For each of the inout channels, push the PFL button for the channel down and set the trim control so LED display is just below the clipping point at maximum input for the channel.

Ideally you would like the channel sliders to be in the vicinity of unity gain when system is balanced. Running the sliders way down results in a poor signal to noise ratio. Next you adjust the channel monitor knobs to set the monitor mix. These should be about 12 o'clock if possible to get decent signal to noise ratio.

For the MON/Mon1 mode, do NOT use the "Surround" simulator OR the "Speaker processor" ... make sure those swithces are off. You will probably want to PAN the channels fully to the MAIN side "B" which MAY be the reason your level seems low.

Remember the individual channels are about 400 Watts and 600 peak. Frankly myself I prefer to use both MAIN channels to the main speakers and use an external amp for the monitors OR use powered monitors for monitor use.

You haven't mentioned what model and manufacturer the mixer is. I will have to guess and say that the monitor out on the board isn't providing signal to the powered monitor or the monitor out on your board is powered and is now damaged by plugging a powered monitor into it. Carefully reread your manual and determine if the monitor out on your mixer is powered or line level. Reread also and make sure that the signal you are monitoring is assigned to monitor out, levelled correctly etc. If you find that the monitor out is passive (line level) try hooking it up to an external power amp and speaker. A guitar amp will do for testing purposes. Start with a low input volume on the amp. Also make sure that if it is passive to use a shielded cable from monitor out to input. If your board has powered monitor outs you can use a speaker cable from monitor out to speaker input (non powered monitor speaker).

you should be fine, you can get splitters, little adapters to split the input cables into 2, so that you can use one ouytput to run 2 channels. just hook up the output cables to the output on the numark, and use the splitter adapter to split the sound between the 2 amps.
