Hi! I was watching my TV - Samsung LN-S4092D - and the picture went to black with a few very light horizontal lines for about 30secs. After that it went to complete black. I thought it might just be that channel. I changed channels and the same thing. I tried to switch Tv source for my DVD box. I tried a DVD and it did not show. In fact, when going through the video sources, I got no text showing that it was going through the different sources. I had volume going throug my cable box so I turned that off and I found that TV also had no sound. I checked other TVs in the houe and they are all working fine. Please advise! Thanks, Bob Garcia

Hi Bob. The first Board to cause this problen is the Main bd. The next bd to cause this is the T-Con bd which is mounted on the Panel. Since you saw horizontal lines and that you have text on the screen and are missing audio from the tv means that the Main bd has gone bad. Have a trained Samsung tech service your tv. Call 1-8020-Samsung as they can direct you to a Qualified tech in your area.

Samsung ln-s4092d no red tint

There are a few things that can cause this. Your t-con board, the signal board or the screen itself. The most likelly and cheapest would be the t-con board. This is the board that transfers your picture from the signal board to your screen. You would have to open up your tv and get the part number from the board itself.

You can get get parts for this tv at www.interliquidparts.com

How do I access the service menu of my Samsung LN-S4092D TV

with the TV off. press "Mute" "1" , "8" , "2" , "Power" on the remote (one at a time). But be careful when in there, you can change setting to keep your TV from ever working again.

LCD TV

I had a problem with a Samsung 46 inch LCD and it had audio and dim light but no picture and found out that the logic board toward the top (inside tv) was bad and was no longer available and the only way to fix it was to get the entire display panel (the logic board came with it) It was not costwise to repair. Hope this helps.

Horizontal multicolored lines appearing

Open up the TV and unplug and re-plug the connectors to the circuit boards. This is most often caused by a poor connection of the circuit board connectors.
