As somebody said the belt is not tensioned, think that is what he was trying to spell!!. By the alternator but by a tensioner bar a little way from it,that is the bar you loosen to free the alternator to adjust the belt V8 or not.And l have done some V8's

Not much info to go on, I would suggest you get your drive belt checked and it's tenser pulley. The best thing I can suggest if you're not use to working on your own car is to take it to a shop and get the squealing / squeaking sound figured out so you can fix it yourself. Sorry I'm not much help on this, it's hard to pinpoint a noise from afar. I would also check my water pump, alternator, etc.

I would say that your fan belt is loose, the one which
goes round the alternator and water pump pulley behind
the front fan. You can loosen two maybe three nuts on the
alternator, lever it until tight.I use a short pole so not over tight,
as you do this the nuts need to be tightened. It would be better
if you had help first time.
For safety sake check belt for splits and cracks or if really
thin and shiny. If so change it.
LUCK

The 1998 Contenental is a front wheel drive side mounted V-8, the altenator is not ajustable for belt tension. Belt tension is set via a tenser pulley located below and to the right of the altenator. It's very tuff to get at it, a tool can be purchased from most auto parts stores to assist you in checking the belt tenser and belt.

I have a dodge ram 1500 and yr 2007 and it sqeals only when breaking and it is not my brake pads

When were your pads replaced last? Aftermarket semi-metallic pads are all different. You could four sets of pads by the same manufacturer and three sets are fine and the forth set will squeal all of the time. If the brakes only make noise when you are applying pressure that is about all it could be. Your pads probably look new and still squeal. Try having your rotors resurfaced or scuffed up and see if that helps!

My a/c compressor in my car messed up so i took it to get it fixed i put the oil and freon in a couple days later but the day after i got my car the steering wheel started shaking then it stopped and it...

Do you hear a sqeal like a belt ????? It sounds like your air compressor is trying to lock up.....In turn would make your belt slip and power steering act different....

Jeep Cherokee - Sqeaking Undercarriage

If the "sqeak" is more pronoused while going over bumps, then it is most likely a bushing in the front end. Check your fuel tank straps also, they may be loose. Sounds like this are always a pain to locate. Make sure nothing is in the back cargo area. You can also take your foot and shake the exhaust, WHILE THE CAR IS COOLED OFF OF COURSE.
You can also push down on each corner of the vehicle in the front and stand on the rear bumper to try to simulate or isolate the noise. That's all I have for ya. Good luck.

Front end squeaking possible rotor rubbing something.

Have you checked the metal clips that olds the brake pads in the front galiper bracket. They usualy rust, break loose and come in contact whit the disc, creating a squeaking noise. Those should be replace since they are needed for the brakes to work properly

Car makes a loud sqealing sound when i start it

I think you should start by putting a new belt on. This may solve the problem.

I hear a sound like the fan belt sqeaking, I know there is only one belt and that belt is still on . first it made a sound like a tire was leaking air then i heard the sqeaking under the hood

belts can still sqeak even though they are still on, check the condition of the belt, is it craked?, glazed? spray some silicon spray on it while its running and see if it goes away. the belt driven accesories can also make noise, alternator, steering pump, water pump, idler, tensioner, a/c compressor. use a long screwdriver like a stethescope and see if one belt driven acessory makes more noise than the others, just be careful of moving parts.

When i turn the wheel the all the way the car sqeals and on cold mornings till it warms up its hard to turn the wheel and their is some sqeaking

Check power steering fluid to be sure it's up to level, then concentrate on belt to power steering pump, is either loose or worn, or both.
