Which wires are which on the back of my kenwood KDuC-148 car stereo,I'm trying to figure out why it just stopped. Working all of the sudden

All you need are the yellow(constant 12V) red (switched 12V with the key) and black(chassis ground). At that point, you should see a display. If you are interested in having your Kenwood repaired, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. You may contact me there. BTW, I was an authorized Kenwood factory service center.

Where can I buy a forward/reverse switch for a metabo right angle drill BE 622

Service Centers are listed on the Metabo Web Site. go to Metabo.US, then Services/Support, repairs and spare parts and in the center of the page click "Service Center". input your 5 digit zip code and it will offer you a list of all local groups that support the Metabo line.

My auto wrnch belt broke - I need a replacement so I can fix it. I cannot find the part anywhere - is it available? Thanks, Ed

No they don't make any replacement parts for end users on this tool. You would have to take it to a service center for repair.

How do I install this device? I connected a white

You have almost got it, but the wires aren't separate the correct way. On one side of the device your going to have your power. The side that's power will have two brass colored screws. You need to find your power wire and splice two wires to it then connect those two wires to your device on the power side this should leave you with two wires. If you happen to have two white wires now, you are going to splice them together with a third wire (called a pigtail just as you did with the blacks on the power side). Now on the non-power side the screw colors should be brass and silver. You will attach your white wire or bundle of white wires using the pigtail to the silver screw. This is the neutral for your receptacle. Then the black that goes out to your light will get attached to the brass screw. The problem you had was then a neutral was being attached to the switch as well as the receptacle and a switch requires no neutral, a switch is simply a break in the power line.

Kenwood kdc c717 10 disc changer. the buffers each side of the unit that contain oil are leaking and need replacing where can i get the parts. many thanks

Check with an authorized kenwood service center in your area. That would be the easiest way to get them, they can order it for you. many electronic repair centers are authorized for Kenwood

It has 4 of them and the name of the part is a "Damper" and here is the part number you need to ask for:

D39-0242-05

after you get them, make sure they are installed properly, they must have the little metal knob being held real good or it will come loose and then you will get lots of skipping when playing a disc.

let me know fi I can be more help.

Part removal and replacement

The black plastic clutch has a left-handed brass threaded insert. Temporarily remove the motor to hold the shaft and remove the brass insert by rotating clockwise.

EVO n610c screen goes off

Hard Rock,

This issue is caused by an over sensitive LCD cover switch. The way this switch works is as follows. There are small slots in the top cover that the LCD latches into when closed. The slot on the left side has a brass clip, which acts as a lever to active the cover closed switch on the system board. The LCD latch pushes down on this lever to turn off the LCD. On your unit this clip has been bent to the point where any pressure near that slot actives the cover closed switch. The fix is to remove the top cover of the laptop and carefully bend this clip. Then reassemble the laptop to test it. It may not work on the first attempt. Its tricky.
