Do i need a wifi dongle to connect my youview box wirelessly to recieve catch up tv.
As far as I am aware, a youview box has to be hardwired via ethernet or ethernet over homeplug to work. Not a lot of help, but there you are.

Wireless adapter finds your AP... It clearly says that your wifi adapter is installed perfectly and working fine...
the issue is with your wireless router...
It is not processing the request given by your wifi adapter...
Either your router in dormant mode, in this state the router will keep on working with all networked computers, but it will not accept any new connections...
Or your router is highly secured that the computer is not capable of establishing a wireless connection with it...
Even if the Hardware(usb adapter) does not support the kind of security that is enabled in the router, you will have the same issue...
It is recommended to go with a WEP kind of security for the router as most of the devices are not compatible with WPA / WPA2 kind of password ...
Also if you have a feature called WPS(Wifi Protected Setup) enabled in your router, it would be better if you DISABLE this feature...

onyour computer you must install the nero home network disk that came with the tv or it will not work.

Make sure everything is compatible for the type of wireless network you are using g/b/n and you are using the correct radio frequency. Also make sure you are using the correct wifi dongle for the make of your TV. From what I recall I do remember some of them being proprietary because the TV will have to have pre-loaded drivers for the wireless dongle.
