No Power to Control Center, Line inputs no longer appear in mixer
Creative Audigy 4 Pro: Connector cable became unplugged from the rear of control center, now it has no power to the control center, my 5.1 speaker system works fine and internal (direct) recording is functioning perfectly. In the mixer software the line inputs 1, 2 and 3 no longer appear in the mixer view. Has anyone else experienced this situation?

The first thing to do is to swap teh L & R INPUTS to the amplifier. Did the speaker that works change?
If som the problem is with the setting of the mixer deck. If it did not change, then the problem is with your speaker wiring of the dead speaker, the speaker itself, or that side of the amp.
If the working speaker did swap, that means problem is with the mixer. The question then becomes how are you connecting to the mixer. You should be using TRS 1/4 inch connectors or preferably XLR from the MAIN outputs. These are balanced outputs connections.
If the inputs are from one of the mono inputs, the PAN control for that channel will control how much goes to each speaker... If at center, both will get same signal.
There are so many possibilities that I can't evaluate them until you try the test to find if it is problem of the amp or the mixer that I have given you to try.
you can just piggyback the mixers - take the outputs from the mackie mixer (assuming it is NOT a powered mixer) ... those should be line level outputs - send them into a line level input on the digi 002 and then set that channel on the digi 002 and once set, just leave it, and control the mackie channels individually ... should work fine ...

Hi
it will be a little bit long prosses , but lets start after you finished , let me know, if problem is solved or exist,
as you know the best soloution is to have cd that it came with your pc or your sound card.
but i assume you don't have it,
updating the driver ,doesn't mean it always make is better(they are spose to be ) so you had to roll back as soon as you saw the problem. is ok
1- go to windows update ,chose custom , look at left panel to see if windows offer hardware update , is so(your soundcard might be one of them) download them and restar your pc.
if it did not solve ,
first make restoration point on your system restoration(please don't forget)
uninstal driver make sure ther is nothing left from your sound card.
turnoff your pc , disconect the power and open your pc , take the soundcard out , turn on your pc . and turn it off now instal your sound card ,back , start pc , windows should pickup your sound card ,
please let me know if these steps did help ,if not post what was theresult for more assistanse
thanks ,Marco

When you upgrade to Vista 64 bit, you also need to update and upgrade all drivers to the 64 bit version. Please update the drivers for your Audigy 4 sound devices and your remote should be back in action.
First, let's start with the BX8a. Those are powered speakers (built-in amplifier in each) so, you do not need a pre-amp. What you need to connect them to your computer is a 3.5mm to XLR cable OR a 3.5mm to 1/4" TRS cable, also known as 3.5mm to two 1/4" mono plugs (the back of the BX8a has inputs that accept either type). Cables are available at most any electronics stores. Make sure you buy a long enough cable to run from the back of the computer to where the speakers will be. It sounds that you only have one BX8a which means you'll be listening to only one channel of the stereo output. In any case, make sure before connecting the speaker(s) to the computer that speaker power is off and volume control is at minimum. Connect the 3.5mm cable end to Line Out 1 jack of the X-Fi sound card and either the XLT or TRS ends to the speaker(s) input(s). Play some audio content on your computer, turn on speaker(s) and slowly increase volume to a safe level. Everything should work fine. Let me know how it goes.
Did you change computers and Operating systems? Ifso does it have the same soundcard? are you monitoring with the hardware mixer or with software in the computer?
