Where is the key that allows me to show a mathmatical division

I want to show a mathmatical equation eg 12 divided by 3 = 4 but I can not locate the division key on the keyboard. Where is it?

Write 156/39 in simplest form

The trick I use is to add up the digits of each number.

1+5+6 = 12, 1+2 = 3
3+9 =12, 1+2 = 3
Now since both numbers add up to 3 or a multiple of 3, they are divisible by 3. (If both added up to 9, both would be divisible by 9).

So let's divide top and bottom by 3.

156 /3 = 52
39/3 = 13

The number 13 is prime, so we cannot reduce it any more. However, 4 x 13 is 52, so we can divide top and bottom by 13.

52/13 = 4
13/13 = 1
Thus, our answer is 4.

This is the longer (and always works version).

We could take 156 / 39 and get 4. We could take 39/39 and get 1 to get our answer of 4/1 or 4, but the numbers are too big for my brain to do that;)

Where is the division key on the keyboard

You can either use the slash key / or if you are using Word you can insert am equation

At the top of Word click the insert button, third from the left.
Then on the far right click insert equation. There you have an option to put in almost any mathematical symbol. You could use either the division or fraction sign.

Your question is in the wrong section. Look for something under math help. 12/3=4, 4x3=12 I am not sure what your teacher is looking for, but I think I would draw a circle with 12 at the top, 3 at the 3 o'clock position, a 4 at the 6 o'clock position, and a 3 at the 9 o'clock position. then put a division symbol between 12 and the 3, an = between the 3 and 4, an x between the 4 and the 3, and an = between the 3 and the 12.

Use the rules for exponents and you will calculate it by hand
(1*10^-14)/(5*10^-12)=(1/5)*10^(-14+12)= 0.2*10^-2=2*10-3
To enter powers of 10 use the short-cut key [EE]
For example to enter 6.02*10^23 type in 6.02* [EE] 23. When you use the EE key, the base (10) should not appear.

Dividing 2 different scientic equations into another

Sorry but you are using the word EQUATION incorrectly. All you have is two numbers you want to divide one by the other.
Enter the numerator 1EE (-) 14, press the division key / then enter the 5 EE (-) 12. Press the = sign.
Note: to enter the negative sign in the exponents, use the change sign key marked (-), (+/-) or [+/-] . Do not use the regular MINUS sign.
When you use the EE key, you must not enter the 10. It is understood because EE is a shortcut for *10^.

How do i factor numbers on a ti-30xs calculator

This calculator does not have a key that you can use to find the prime factor of an integer.
You can however use the calculator to find the factors
1. If number is even divide it by 2
Keep dividing by 2, while keeping track of how many times you divided by 2.
If you divided 5 times by 2 before getting an odd number, then your first factor is 2^5
2. Now try dividing by 3, keep track of the number of times you divided by 3 before you could not divide by 3 any more. If you divided 0 times by 3, your second factor is 3^0, or 1 and 3 is not a factor.
If you divided 4 times by 3, your second factor is 3^4
3. Divide by 5, until you can't any more. Keep track of the number of times you divided by 5.
4. Divide by all other prime numbers 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29, 31, 37, 41, etc. For each prime number, keep track of how many times you divided by it, until you could not any more.

Example: 23100
Division by 2
23100/2=11550 ---------> 1 division by 2
11550/2=5775 ----------> 2 divisions by 2
Note that 5775 is not divisible by 2. No more divisions by 2.
First factor is 2^2


Division by 3:
5775/3=1925 ----------> 1 division by 3
1925/3=641. 66667 Not an integer. No more divisions by 3.
2nd factor is 3^1

Division by 5 (number ends in 5)
1925/5 =385 -------> 1 division by 5
385/5=77 ----------> 2 divisions by 5 and no more (quotient does not end in 0 or 5)
3rd factor is 5^2

Division by 7
77/7=11 --------> 1 division by 7, and no more
4th factor is 7^1=7

Division by 11
11/11=1
5th factor is 11^1=11

Assembling the factors 2^2, 3^1, 5^2, 7, 11
Prime factorization of 23100 is
23100=(2^2)(3)(5^2)(7)11

How to solve equations with two variables by usin CASIO fx901 calculater? eg- 6x+9y=2700 5x+4y=1560

The FX-901 calculator seems to be the equivalent of the FX 260 Solar sold in North America. It does fraction calculations, permutation, statistics but lack the Equation Solver.
You cannot use it to solve equations.
Casio Scientific calculators that can handle equation solving are the FX-115 and FX-991.
Simplify your first equation by dividing all its terms by 3, then use elimination to carry out the solution by hand.

Try rewriting your equations in the equivalent forms that follow.
Y1=3-X
Y2=(1-X)/3

If you do not get a syntax error it means that you were not using the correct minus sign.
If the - is the first symbol after the equal sign you must use negation (-) or change sign key.
Similarly, after the division / key you must use the negation or change sign (-)
