If your set up is: Top-Left=Indiglo Top-Right=St./Stop Bottom-Left=Mode Bottom-Right=Lap/Reset

Than follow these steps:
1. Press Lap/Reset and hold. You should see the time the alarm was set for.
2. While holding Lap/Reset, press Mode.
3. Let go of all buttons.
4. There you go!

Hope that was a help

SOURCE: Set watch

I have a G Shock DW-004 made in 1997. I had this same problem, and I tried everything to change TO military time and back to standard time. I just read the bit to try and was about to do it. I pressed the top left button to get the time to flash, and hit the light button by accident (the one with the big G on it) and VIOLA! It changed to military time. So in my model, anyway, the G light button (under the display on the edge of the watch body) changed the time to military from standard and back again, when the time is flashing.

Good luck!

SOURCE: need manual for armitron sports watch 40/8172

Go to the Amitron web site , "amitron.com".

Select "support" and the "watch instructions" from the drop down menu.

There will be a number of illustrations

Using the arrow heads on the right, scroll down to the bottom and select the one marked "mens digital".

This file contains the instructions for two manuals, the one you want is the second one (scroll down to reach the 40/8 series).

Testimonial: "Thanks man,just what I needed!Great tip!"

SOURCE: My TGHK watch is stuck in ''Military Time''...

advance the hours. The first time you go through the 24 hour cycle, it will be in am pm mode, the second time in 24 hour mode, the next time in am pm. Just keep advancing the hours until it comes up the correct time

Get marathon CL030062 off of military time

To convert a marathon CL030062 (military time) to standard time, simply subtract 1200 from the time and add "AM" to the result. For example, CL030062 in military time is 3:00 AM, so in standard time it would be 3:00 AM.

Athletic wrist watch stuck in 24 hour mode

Maddening, isn't it? Fortunately the solution is here:

1 There should be four buttons: mode, reset, start and light. Find the mode button and press it three times until it is in the set time mode.

2 Find the reset button, which usually is located on the bottom right side of the watch face, and hold it until the time starts blinking.

3 Press the start button to change minutes.

4 Press the reset button again to switch to hours. You will know it worked when the hour starts blinking instead of the minutes.

5 Press the start button to change the hour. The watch can handle two modes: standard and military. As you press start, the hour will change from AM to PM, noted by an "A" or a "P" in the top right. When you get through 24 hours, the watch will change to military time and an "H" will be displayed instead of "A" or "P." Keep pressing start to go through another 24-hour cycle and it will revert back to standard time.

Can't get kids gap watch move from military "24" hr time!

hit mode three times until TUES flashes and the seconds. Hit reset until the hours flash and hit start to change them. The watch goes from AM hours to PM and then back through AM and when it cycles through the PMs for the second time, they will alternate 12/24 hour time.

Possibly, you could push the hour-setting button through either the military or standard time setting, i.e., there are actually 48 "hours" you can set your watch to and you need to cycle through enough of them to reach the standard or military hour you want.
