If you have a Howard-Miller 625-236 atomic clock, do you need to change the time zone only or manually set the time?

To set the time zone, press Mode (furthest left on the back of the clock) to get to the Alarm Time Mode. Then press Set (2nd from the left) to change the time zone. Then press Adjust (the middle button) to select the correct time zone. Press Mode again to exit the settings mode. To manually set the time, you need to remove the battery from the clock. Then reinsert the battery after 30+ seconds. Press and hold Set until the hour begins to flash, then press Adjust to change the time. Press and hold to quickly change the hour. Then press Set to change to the minutes and use Adjust to set the current minutes. Repeat this routine to set the seconds, month, date and year. Press Mode to exit to the Time mode.

The manual is available here: http://www.theclockdepot.com/howard-miller-625-236-techtime-operations-manual.pdf .

I hope this helps.

SOURCE: S10Scan atomic clock model 87310 time is 4;pm should be 10:am

Hi

Time zone setting
Language Setting
The weekdays can be displayed in LCD1 with the pre-set languages: US English, French and Spanish.
1. Set the desired language for the weekday display in LCD 2 by use of the + key.
2. Press the SET key to enter the mode “Manual Time Setting”.
Manual Time Setting
In case the Skyscan Atomic Clock is not able to detect the WWVB-signal (disturbances, transmitting distance, etc.), the time can be manually set. The clock will then work as a normal Quartz clock.
Note:
In 12 hours mode the time will be displayed with an additional “PM” for the time from 12:00 noon until 11:59.
1. The hour digits will start flashing on LCD1. Set the desired hours by pressing the +key followed by pressing the SET key.
2. Now the minute digits will start flashing. Set the desired minutes by pressing the +key . If the + key is held, the units will increase by 5.
3. Press the SET key to move to the “Year Setting”.
Note:
The unit will still try and receive the signal every day despite it being manually set. When it does receive the signal, it will change the manually set time into the received time. During reception attempts the WWVB tower icon will flash. If reception has been unsuccessful, then the WWVB tower icon will not appear but reception will still be attempted the following hour.
WWVB time reception takes place from 12:00 am through 6:00 am each day (attempts WWVB reception every full hour within this time frame). When the time signal is received for example at 1:00 am, the Skyscan Atomic Clock will not attempt to receive the WWVB signal for the remaining hours until 6:00 am. Therefore, the next signal attempt will take place between 12:00 am and 6:00 am the next day. The other times WWVB reception takes place, are upon setup and after manual time set exiting mode. Reception is generally not possible during daylight hours due to the interference of the sun.

Thank you

SOURCE: I can't get my atomic wall clock to set on daylite La cross wall

The easiest way to reset it would be to change it to Eastern time - that will give you the correct Central DST.

To correct the time on your Sharp Atomic clock, you will need to reset the time zone. To do this, press and hold the "Time Zone" button for 3 seconds until the time zone flashes. Then, press the "Hour" and "Minute" buttons to adjust the time zone to the correct time zone. Once the time zone is set, press the "Time Zone" button again to save the settings. Can I adjust minute hand on Atomic Clock?

Sadly, there are many clocks designated as atomic clocks. No search yields Atomic Clock as a brand itself. Clocks and watches usually have procedures so complicated by the time you finish reading them, you can't see straight enough to tell the time. I think you need to do a google search for atomic clock but attach the brand to that plus user manual. If it is a famous brand, there might even be a YouTube video regarding adjusting it. If you don't have the instructions, it will be perplexing. Even the brand site may not offer sufficient help. https://www.amazon.com/atomic-clocks/s?k=atomic+clock&dc&ref=a9_sc_1

How do I set the alarm on my Sharp Accu-Set Model SPC452?

  • 1 Insert batteries into your atomic clock. Without these the clock won't work. The number of batteries required depends on the clock. There is usually a panel on the back of the clock where you can insert the batteries.
  • 2 Set the clock. Usually, this is done automatically, as the clock will seek out and receive the signal within 6 to 8 minutes. If this doesn't happen, you'll need to do it yourself. Hold down the "Set" button. A figure on the clock will start blinking. Adjust this by pressing the adjustment button. Press "Set" again to go to a new time. Continue until the clock is properly set. No matter what you put time you put in manually, the clock should adjust to the atomic setting within 48 hours.
  • 3 Set the time zone on your atomic clock. How to do this depends on your specific clock. On some, there is a time zone slider; you simply slide it to your time zone. Otherwise, you will need to enter the manual mode you used to set the clock. Switch the mode until the time zone starts blinking. Now, adjust until your current time zone is selected. If it goes by Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), the time zones in the United States are -5 for Eastern time, -6 for Central, -7 for Mountain, and -8 for Pacific.

Clock is 2 hours ahead of actual cst time

If you have an atomic clock/watch that is not showing the right time, you could have one or two separate problems. First, the clock may not be set for the correct time zone. Second, the clock may have a manual switch to adjust the time for daylight savings time. Each of these problems can make your clock display the incorrect hour of the time, especially after you change the batteries and your clock "forgets" some or all of its prior settings.
Check the back of your clock to see if there is a button or switch to set the correct time zone. If your clock appears to be set to your time zone, change the switch to another time zone and see whether the clock moves forward/backward to adjust. Once it has finished adjusting to the new time zone, adjust the clock back to your time zone to see whether it will now correctly reset to display the time.
I have seen atomic clocks that have manual adjustments for these settings as well as ones that adjust automatically other than the time zone. If you provide the manufacturer and model number of your clock, we should be able to provide more detailed instructions.
