SOURCE: Neff Combined oven and microwave

If there's no obvious removable cover over the bulb (and the owner's manual doesn't address it) some disassembly may be required.

Always unplug a microwave before removing or installing any bulbs.

If it's an over the range type, remove the vent grille across the top and see if bulbs can be accessed there. There may be a panel on the bottom covering the light(s), instead.

If not, chances are you'll have to remove it from the wall, then remove the outer cover. If so, the installation instructions are very handy, and it's best to have two people since the microwave can be heavy and awkward.

Once it's out of the wall, the outer cover (wrapper) will need to be removed, just as you'll need to do on a counter top model.

On a counter top model, be sure it's unplugged, but otherwise ignore the instructions above this paragraph.

The screws you need to remove should be pretty obvious, but a special driver (such as a T20H type or GTXH20-100) may be needed.

Be sure to put all the screws back in the right holes, since some may be special grounding screws.

Bulbs can be had in most grocery stores, hardware stores, home improvement centers, and big box or department stores.

Many models use halogen lamps. You must not touch the new one with your bare skin, as the oils will shorten the bulb life.

On June 5 $9.00 was deducted from our Visa account paid to FixYa, Inc. My husband asked a question about changing the light in our microwave oven. He never received a response or if he did it possibly...

Hello,
You will be needing a Flathead or Phillips screwdriver to perform this task.

Please follow the instructions below:
1. Unplug the microwave oven from the outlet. Wait 20 minutes for the capacitor that is inside the microwave to discharge.
2. Unscrew all the screws around the casing by turning them counterclockwise.
3. Remove the cover by lifting off.
4. Locate the light bulb in the microwave. This will be located on either the right or left side.
5. Unscrew the light bulb by unscrewing counterclockwise. Some light bulbs are held into the socket by two notches; for these you will need to gently push on the bulb and turn counterclockwise to unsecure the bulb, then pull out of the socket.
6. Place your new bulb in the empty socket and secure by turning clockwise until tight, or if the bulb is one with notches on both sides, then guide the notches into the slot on the socket, push gently and turn clockwise until clicked into position.
7. Replace the cover and screw back on. You are now done and may plug back in the microwave.
Good luck.

How do i remove the cover to change the light bulb inside?

The bulb is positioned at the top of the oven, accessible only from the outside. You'll need to pull off the top and bottom trim strips, remove the bottom trim strip locators, remove 2 fixing screws from the left edge of the oven (with door open), and the 2 fixing screws from behind the top trim strip. The oven should then just slide out. You only need to pull it out 6 inches or so to gain access to the bulb cover. You'll need a T20 driver to remove the cover, then the bulb unscrews as it has an SES fitting. Bob

Daewoo cog 370a

I don't know the Daewoo. The cover you removed inside would only expose the mouth of the magnetron (where the microwave radiation enters the oven). Generally, the light is accessed after removing the outer cover of the oven. It is usually held on by a number of screws around the sides and back, maybe even under.
Disconnect the oven from power, remove all the screws, manoeuvre the cover off. There MAY be a wire connected to the cover, it will be green/ yellow, disconnect this by pulling on the cover end (usually).
Now look around. The bulb may be obvious, if not, look for a device with 2 terminals on it, or 2 wired entering it, the bulb can usually be withdrawn by pulling gently. You may have to disconnect the wires to remove it completely.
If the bulb has a screw or bayonet base, you can probably get a replacement from a hardware store, an electrical store or an electrical wholsaler. If the bulb has an unusual base, you will need to obtain a replacement from the manufacturer or an appliance repair place. Ensure the voltage and wattage marked on your replacement is identical to the old one.
While in the oven, look for the plastic "thing" you pushed out. It is probably an insert to take the screw. Replace it in its fitting hole if possible, if not, don't worry, it should get by fine without it! Just don't replace that screw.
There is a small possibility the outer cover will vibrate and make noise because of the missing screw.
Don't forget to replace the wire to the cover, if you took one off it!

Buttons for light and fan

I had the same problem with the three buttons pushed in.  Here's how I fixed it:
1. turned off power at breaker or pulled plug 2. Unscrewed two screws on top of unit 3. Removed exhaust vent cover/grill by sliding it to the left and out 4. Unscrewed single screw above LCD control panel 5. Removed control panel assembly by sliding it up and out and rested it on a box so wires wouldn't pull out 6. The control board behind the three buttons had dislodged from the clips 7. Secured the control board with the clips and added a little superglue to clips and extra foam padding to keep it from moving. 8. Screwed the control panel back in, powered up, and tested 9. Reattached the exhaust vent and screwed it back in
