The Toshiba 55H70 is a standard rear projection set. It does not have a "lamp", it has 3 picture tubes. When the colors suddenly do not line up on the screen, it means that one of your convergence output IC's has burned out and needs to be replaced. This is very common on those sets. If your set is using the STK392-110 IC's, it is probably a good idea to go ahead and replace both IC's with the newer upgraded STK392-150 IC's. The IC's should be replaced and the convergence circuits realigned by a qualified tech familiar with Toshiba projection sets.

The convergence amp(s) need to be replaced. Your unit takes two STK392-110 Sanyo built amps. In addition all the low ohm resistors should be tested for change in value and replaced as needed... Not an expensive repair for a qualified shop. We do four or five a week...

Your alignment is off. Go to the set up menu then convergence. hit right and you will be in the convergence menu. select the color that is not in alignment. The green line does not move. if blue and green are lined up the line will be cyan. if red and green are lined up the line will be yellow. when all three are lined up the color will be light. Best of luck!

This is a convergence output IC problem. convergence board would have to be removed - remove and replace 2 STK IC's and check the surrounding resistors. Shops usually charge between $200-$300

Replace the STK392-110 Convergence ICs and the 6 1.8 ohm 1watt resistors. You can get the repair kit whcih also contains the instructions from www.tvrepairworld.com
