The on/off button has locked up. My battery is charged. How do I unlock the button?
I don't know that there is a lock on the on/off button. Take the battery out for a minute, put it back in and try.

There really is no way to fix this camera unfortunately. You will need to send it in for service. You can set it up online www.powershot.com or call Canon tech support to set it up for service. There isn't much troubleshooting you can do on the phone with no power. If you are beyond your one year manufacturer's warranty, you may also qualify for the upgrade program for deeply discounted newer models for your camera. At last check, yours qualified for the upgrade to the SD750 for $100 whereas the minimum repair cost for your camera will be probably around $99.

Hi,
I'm sorry to tell that PowerShot SD 630 does not support SDHC cards over 2 gig.
If you want the camera to take a card over 2 gig then you are stuck standard SD cards.
The other camera does support the card because it's a higher model.

Inside the camera, check the brass contacts where the battery connects to the camera. Clean it with rubbing alcohol (use a cotton swab) and try to turn it on after insterting the battery.
